Whirlpool dishwasher model # du920pfgq3 can I replace door panel with stainless steel?
If you want to spent about $250 for the panel and $100 plus to have someone install it. What is your location? Whirlpool only offered this model, designed in 1999 with white, black or almond colored panels. You would have to have one custom made. I suggest a sheet metal roofing firm as they would have the appropriate tooling to manufacture your part quite easily. You would have to take them your old one to measure. The budget seems prohibitive when you could buy a new washer for the equivalent time and effort. Good luck.

I have two options for you to consider. One is to take your panel to any sheet metal fabricating shop and have them make a stainless steel version for you. The other is to get a spray can of stainless steel appliance paint and apply it. i have used the stainless steel paint on entire appliances with excellent results.

There are a couple of ways to do this. The easiest one is to check out www.applianceart.com and they have many different options for "wrapping" the front of your dishwasher. They change it often so if you don't see it, call the company becuase I know they have it.

Are you trying to replace the microwave door or the GE dishwasher. Either way, www.applianceart.com (under the stainless steel section) has this roll of stainless material that you apply to your appliances. I saw it on the "Today Show." Its basically faux stainless. We put it on our refrigerator and it looks and even feels like real stainless steel. Its really cool. I think its called stainless foil or something like that. Also if you're looking for a stainless panel for your dishwasher they sell actual stianless panels there too.
