I need to find a link that WORKS for a manual for the htc 8525. The HTC site does not even list this device anymore. Also,"get the 8525 manual" links to HTC from other sites are broken.
The reason I needed the manual was this: I need to upload pictures to PC. Can this be done only by email or can I use the sync cable?

You can find the download for the manual here: User manual HTC Wildfire (This link is to the T-Mobile site, but it will still work even if they are not your carrier)
Sim Unlock code and Network Unlock code are same......You can get the Sim Unlock code from the site Theunlockspot.com/htc-8525/rs10wp9/ and Unlock YOUR HTC 8525..........
For good place to get the unlock code for HTC model, visit this site Superunlockcodes.com, it provides step by step instructions and easy ways to unlock the phone lock network ...while for the unlock code you have to give some information about the mobile site that is your IMEI number, network and country lock, then in a short period you can get the code ...
There are two ways:
1) If your device is not frozen, navigate to Select Start > Settings
> System > Clear Storage and type in 1234 in the text box. This
will erase everything you installed and restore the phone to your last
ROM flash.
2) If your device is non-functional, press the two soft keys under the
touchscreen (the topmost buttons under the touchscreen) while
simultaneously pressing the soft reset button by inserting the stylus
into the reset port at the bottom of the phone. This performs the same
function as option 1.
I have a small solution to what all of you are having with the black screen. I had the same problem so, what you want to do is keep pressing the power button. You do not turn the phone off, you will just put it in standby mode and then back on. If you keep doing that the screen will turn back on but you can not let the back light go out.
You, sir ( or madam) are the biggety-bomb! Mucho gracias!
