PARTS FOR A TASCO RIFLE SCOPE

Can anybody tell me where I can get an adjusting screwcap for my tasco 3 X 9 X 40 world class wide angle range finding trajectory compensating scope. I have lost the top capscrew for this scope, and need to find one to replace it. I have already called the 800 - 423 - 3537 phone number (supposed to be the tasco support number) but they can only answer questions about the bushnell scopes. Any other suggestions ?

Reflector type scopes are made with a metal-oxide coating on the lens to make the picture brighter. The second lens can be used to magnify the picture. The lens can either be free floating or easily replaced by a smaller lens to zoom in. In a https://rangefindereviews.com/best-night... rifle scope, it's best to use this small lens for long-range shooting, and keep the original lens for close range.

Try some PB Blaster. Wet a q tip and apply to the area at the base of the turret caps. Wait a few minutes and reapply. Then using a small pair of vice grips attempt to twist the turret covers off. A cotton cloth will help keep the gripping surfaces of the pliers from scratching too bad. Hope this helps.

Tasco scope

Sight in rifle.Put top(elevation)cap back on with the"0" facing back.Be careful not to make it "click"as this will change point of impact. The way this works is you aim at animal and adjust the power(3-9)until the animal's body is between the 2 lines.Look in the little window on eyepiece to see distance of selected animal. Then click top knob to the correct distance(200,300,etc.)This should raise bullet impact for that distance.I've had this scope on a .270 since 1980 and never used this feature.(I only bought it because the scope was on sale)

Zeroing scope adjustment

First, adjust wind-age and elevation to center or zero position. Remove your scope from the gun and make sure that the scope mounts are aligned, this is critical. Purchase an alignment tool is necessary. Then remount the scope. The scope should seat in the mounts without binding. If it does bind, the mounts are not aligned.
Start sighting in at close range,10 to 30 yards, then move out to 100 yards.
