No RGB imput signal

My almost new Balance CM2015 monitor is giving the message RGB no input signal. It does recognize when the cable is disconnected.

I checked the cables none are loose. I also tried to hook it up to my lap top to see if it was a problem with the tower/ video card/ motherboard… When I hooked it up to my laptop it worked for 10-20 seconds before it went black and then said “ RGB no input signal” again.

Is there any hope to get this thing to work?

You need to change the input signal, get into the menu on your monitor and change the signal from rgb to dvi, hdmi or vga dipending on what cable you using for connection.
There is NO rgb connector on that monitor

Good luck

My monitor keeps giving me a no signal message after i turn on my computer

  1. make sure that the video cable is properly connected between the monitor and computer
  2. change the video cable
  3. do a monitor selftest
  • turn off the monitor
  • disconnect it from the power outlet
  • disconnect it from the computer
  • turn on the monitor without the video cable
if you see the monitor information (a box with RGB white colors, the monitor is working)

  • problem might be the cable, video input port of the monitor or the video output port of the computer

What color wires on a Balance CM2015 go to which pin on a D sub connector?

A "Balance CM2015" is a color monitor, not a printer. Why do you want to make your own cable? Just go to local store and purchase a 9 pin video cable. Don

I know this is not the right way to do this but try installing the drivers for your new monitor while using your old monitor the re-boot the computer still with your old monitor attached. When you are satisfied the new drivers are in a location easy to find turn off and attach new monitor. If you are still getting that message try it with another computer. If this message still persists there is a fault with the RGB cable input board so if you can return it or have a competant technician have a look. Hope this helps.
