Make sure the headset is plugged into either the headphone jack on your TV or the adapter that comes with the headset. If they are plugged in securely then make sure the dongle on the cable has the volume turned up. Check the xbox settings to make sure the volume is up as well. If still no luck you may have to contact turtle beach support to assist.

No, I'm afraid the Turtle Beach X11 will not work with any controller but the official 360 ones.

hey my headset has the same problem!
I Opened the white chat thing and wires were off what they were suppose to be on so my grandfater is going to soter the on. Check if that is your problem

I myself have a 46" RCA LCD flat screen tv, which I have my xbox 360 connected via HDMI cable. If your tv has audio out "rca plugs", which im sure being a newer 3d HD tv, connect the supplied cable to the audio out (red, white) plugs, and then connect your headphones to that jack!

Same issue here. Can hear the high pitch buzz, and friends complain about it.

I have 2 Turtle Beach X11 headsets, and 3 Xboxes (std, Elite, slim)

Unplug the mic, and no high pitch buzz. Plug it back in, and its back.

Tried all 3 boxes experience same issues

Playing with volume and mic settings doesn't make a difference.

Make sure your controller cable is plugged in, and the mic mute is not activated. If you still have problems, it may be a quick fix if you contact [email protected]

Uh, that has nothing to do with the headset--it's due to chat in the Xbox controller. No headset is going to be 100% quiet because they are self-powered.

Contact Turtle Beach directly...don't waste your time here.

To test the headset, connect it to your PC and listen to some music. Use the green plug and USB. If both speakers work and it sounds fine, then there's nothing wrong with the headset.

You would have to re-solder those on. Your best bet is to just purchase another headset because you will likely screw up the amplifier if you try and open it up. You can get factory recertified X1's on Turtle Beach's website for only $39. http://www.turtlebeach.com/X1certified/tabid/620/Default.aspx
