Whirlpool Washer model # LSN1000KQ0 overfilling

did you plug the hose back into the water level switch, double check to see if it is plugged, if it is your water level switch might be defective. trouble shoot by taking the front panel off... turn on the washer by using the timer, set water level to small...on the bottom of the tub housing there should be a nipple where the clear hose connects onto.....follow the clear hose from the switch down to the bottom of the tub.........disconnect the clear hose on the bottom of the tub.....plugg the nipple with your finger.........gently blow into the hose with your mouth.......but make sure the water level in the tub is at least at half way full...and the washer is on and filling up with water ...after you blow into the hose the washer should agitate.......if it does agitate your water level switch is defective...connect hose back........get your model number and source for the switch.........

Whirlpool washing machine clutch replacement

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. For servicing the clutch you’ll need to first remove the gear case. The gear case can be removed by first removing the outer cabinet. After removing the cabinet, remove the pump and motor assembly. Now carefully lay down the washer on its back and remove the 3 bolts securing the gear case. Now pull the gear case straight out from the tube support assembly. Now, compress the clutch spring with a pair of pliers and lift the lining from the clutch hub. To remove entire clutch assembly begin by removing the spin tube thrust washer up & off the agitator and then remove the tube support ring. Remove the retainer ring and lift the clutch hub up and off spin pinion.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

My washer will wash clothes and it drained, but will not spin makes a loud roaring noise what is wrong?

OK, that roaring is coming from a damaged direct drive assembly. the gear box is damaged. you will need to replace asap.

Gear case housing kit with main drive gear will run you about a $190.00

LSN1000KQ0

by chance if you removed the drain hose on the machine when you replaced the direct driv coupling, did you insert the drain hose back in too far, it only needs to be inserted into the drain about 4 inches and should not be sealed air tight
if it is inserted too far it will siphon out the water untill the pressure switch calls for it to fill back up over and over

check the drain hose and let me know if you need any more help

Oil on floor underneath washer

jeffnew The oil which you see on the floor is coming from the gear case. The gear case is not repairable and it has to be replaced. If your washer is less than 1 year old do not wait and call Whirlpool - it is under full warranty. If your washer is between 1 to 5 years old, then the part is still under limited manufacturer warranty but you are liable for any trip and labor charges. It could be much over $200.00. If you are handy and willing to save money, you can buy the part for less than $150.00 and replace it yourself. In that case, I can find the best deal for you and help you with step by step instructions. Gendos...post back
