HI there reset the camera setting and make sure the exposer setting is maintain on center/ middle position. After that if you face same problem then you need to visit the camera repair store for repairing the camera CCD unit. Thanks. Waiting for your reply.
The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.
First, for your model of camera, you do know that you can only Print the date and time the pic was taken on the photo right? It does not embed the date and time data into the image, like some cameras do.
Here is a direct quote from the manual if you want to check my information. You will find it on page 21. "Setting the date and time settings does not cause the date/time stamp to appear on the images."
This may/maynot be what you wanted, either way let me know with a comment. I can describe how to set the date and time in the camera's setup menu for you if you want, and/or I can tell you how to make sure you print the date and time on your photos. Otherwise, have fun with your camera and please rate my solution a fixya.
Your camera comes with a Date battery. It is a small lithium coin battery, model number CR1220. Well, it's toast. It seems like they don't last long because they're inserted at the time of manufacture.
Just pick up another one and re-install it.
You'll find it inside the battery/SD card compartment. Hook your nail under it and pull it up. Make sure you note how it sits in the holder so you can easily return the fresh one. - Minus side goes up

The date doesn't actually appear on the image. It's embedded in the data. You can see the date/time stamp by right-clicking on the image and selecting properties. You should see the date taken, date modified, etc..
You can download the manual from the link below:
http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=DownloadDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=323&modelid=14901
From page 37 of the manual it looks like you can only select the time stamp in "postcard" mode. Also the date & time need to be set in the camera first.
Please update the question & let us know if the information given was useful to you - Good Luck!
