Hi there,
If the line appears already from when you switch on your Laptop then it means your LCD/Screen is busy breaking. The white line is normally caused due to loose contacts inside screen and cannot really be repaired.
regards
hi,
check if the line appears in BIOS...dont worry when i say BIOS...not sure how to check...turn the system off...restart the system and keep tapping the F2 key...you would get a Blue screen...check if the lines appear on this screen...if it appears...it could either be b'cause the display driver has gone wrong or the system might have a physical damage.....if the lines does not occur on this screen....it is a manufacturing defect...please contact the manufacturer and report the issue for solution....... regards Rocky
Usually a white line straight across the screen indicates that the LCD screen has a bad row. There's not much you can do about it I'm afraid.
If you're mechanically capable, you can go to e-bay and pick up a non-working unit (for parts) and replace the screen on your working unit. I guess it depends on the cost of the unit. You might just be better off using it as is.
