MY CAMERA WILL NOT DO ANYTHING

Sounds like a feature that comes on when using flash. The light comes on so in low light you can see and focus on what you are trying to photograph. Then we shutter button is depressed all the way the flash goes and picture is taken. Try turning off flash function.

It's a software problem. Try resetting the camera (check the manual for this), or take it for professional repair.

Change the batteries and try again.

there is no battery in the camera. the battery comes from the film. the film has a battery in it already. you MUST have film in the camera for the light to go on and the flash to go off. all polaroid camera's are the same. you must have the film in the camera for it to work.

It could be that your camera doesn't know it's rewound the film already. With the camera turned on, push and hold BOTH manual rewind buttons simultaneously - one near the release button ( +/- ) and the other toward the front of the camera at the lens release button. Try the release button again.

This H error message means either the film is loaded incorrectly, or there is an internal malfunction in the camera. To determine if the film is loaded incorrectly you should take the film and the batteries out of the camera then reinstall the batteries and try taking a picture without film in the camera. If the camera allows it then the film was loaded incorrectly and I would refer to the camera manual for directions on how to load the film correctly. If the H error message persists then there is most likely an internal malfunction and I would have the camera looked at by an authorized service technician. I hope this helps!

Make sure the lens you are using on the camera is set to the minimum aperture setting. i.e. f22,f32 (highest f stop number)

I wish i could help you, but Pentax's manual is poor and many people (over the net) face Pentax error message with no meaning... i would take it to your local camera repair shop. If they can't help you call ProCamera in harlottesvile VA. He collects pentax owns his own shop. He's been in business for 12yr's he is also a succesful photoghrapher. I''ve heard nothing but the best about this guy Bill Moretz. I have a pentax if anything happens to hit i know where i shipping it of too and pentax is the only camera i will own. His prices are right so the shipping cosr is worth it.
