I've got this scanner and have made a modified driver for it. If someone needs Bearpaw 1200 CU to work under Windows Vista or Windows 7 wellcome to [URL]http://bearpaw1200cu.sourceforge.net/[/URL].
If you use a live CD of Linux, it is possible then to get this scanner to work, saving the files in a directory accessible to Windows, then exit Linux and you can access the scanned information from windows, this is the only work around.

yes, I got same problem on my bearpaw 1200Cu scanner. there isn't solution that makes if fixed.
Can't find a driver for Mustek 1200 CU. I'll not buy Mustek products next time. Mustek = bad quality. No updates when Windows comes with new software. Then you have to buy new hardware everytime Windows do software upgrades, due to bad service by Mustek.
Obviously, I have the same problem.
I would not blame Mustek, but Microsoft.
I think that Vista should have a module able to allow to run (i.e. by converting it), if the user wants it, any software designed for XP or previous versions.
This should be set by law! For any software producer, including MS!
Who TF is Microsoft to force people, including Mustek, to have such problems?
I will try to install a minimal XP as a second option at boot, since Vista gives me such surprises almost everyday...
I already have another computer with both XP and 98 and it works quite ok.
