Broken Leap Frog Leapster Learning Game System

We bought a pink Leap Frog Leapster Learning Game System and a bunch of games for our daughter. After 5 months and minimal use the Learning Game Sytem no longer works. We no longer have proof of purchase. Does anyone know where I can get this fixed? Has anyone had luck with Leap Frog helping them out past the 3 month warranty? This was a $50+ product plus we bought a bunch of games at $20-35 a piece that we can no longer use. I emailed Leap Frog, but if they don't help me out this will be the LAST product I buy from them. Our games will go on ebay.

I purchased a Leapfrog Leapster in end of June sales last year for my daughter's birthday in October 2008. When she first turned it on it froze but after restarting played fine for 2 hrs then died and refused to work again. Fortunately I had kept my receipt (Target) but was still worried about it having been 4 months prior. They ended up giving me a store credit as they no more in stock at that store and I picked one up from another Target without having to pay the difference between my original sale price. I know you don't have the receipt but you could contact the place of purchase and ask them even if they are able to send off for repairs or put you in contact with the right people. Hope it helps a little ...

My leap frog leapster has a orange spot at the middle of the screen help please!

Those are broken pixels. Nothing you can do about them. Caused most likely by a drop or aggressive play. Ours has the same thing.

My daughter has a Leapster 2 (pink) hand held game. We can not get it to sign into her name, so she can not play games. Can you help?

Remove the game cartridge, while holding down the button with the "?" turn the unit on. Then the screen should tell you to press the "A" to calibrate the stylus. Finish the calibration by touching the crosshair when it appears. After I did this everything was fine. Good luck ....thaks to Nicksdad who posted this response to a previous post. Worked for me...try it.

Leapster 2 has no sound

We got our daughter a Leapster2 for Chrstmas 08. One day the sound just stopped working. Called Leapfrog. They said to insert a cartridge, and turn the unit on. Plug headphones into the headphone jack. Then rotate the headphone plug-in 360 degrees,( It is easier to hold the heaphone plug-in and rotate the leapster2). Unplug the headphones and check to see if the sound works. Leapfrog said try it more than once, and if it does not work contact them,1-800-701-5327. We tried it and Hallelujah it worked!

Leapster 2 will shut off right after the "important" screen

Just called Leap Frog and apparently this is a common problem (defective screen). As long as it was purchased within a year they will replace it for free. They ask you when and where you bought it. (You have to pay to send the broken one back it was like $5). Hope this helps.

New Didj keeps shutting down

We were having the same problem; my son (an we) were getting very frustrated! I finally tried to reboot the game and it seems to have worked. Take a paperclip and bend it; place the point in the small circular opening in the back of the game (there is two arrows next to the opening). We just did this and my son played past the point where it would shut down. The manual said that doing this would erase all of the memory...this didn't seem to happen.

Hope this helps!

I have a leap frog(little leaps) learning system for my daughter. I had to purchase a new DVD player and I seem to forget how to get the code for the system to work. I bought a Toshiba 1080 and have...

We have one too.. Check out the product manual at:
http://www.leapfrog.com/etc/medialib/leapfrog/parent_guides/pg_infanttoddler.Par.16416.File.tmp/10210_LittleLeaps_SetUpGuidepdf.pdf

The Toshiba quick setup number (in the US) appears to be '02'. If that doesn't work, try going through all of the Toshiba numbers one at a time, which are
002 020 026 045
051 074 081 108
110 116 119 120
126 130 131 160
