How old is the dishwasher? Check the front control panel for a AIR DRY / HEAT DRY switch. Perhaps the switch is in the AIR DRY position. If so and you really want to HEAT DRY your dishes, set the switch for HEAT DRY. Otherwise: Second, it is not a bad thing to let your dishes AIR DRY. It saves money! Just open the Dish Washer door after the last rinse cycle has finished and let the dishes AIR DRY manually. In a hour or so they can usually be put away. Works for me :)

SOURCE: Dishes are ALWAYS WET!!!

If the dishes are made of plastic they will be wet , they don't retain heat when in the drying cycle!

SOURCE: Frigidaire dishwasher model GLD2445RFCO is making noise

I have the same problem with my dishwasher. If you remove the kick plate while it is running, There is an electric motor underneath. If you push up and pull forward on the electric motor, the noise will stop. I used a block to prop it up and the noise stopped. You may want to try it.

Replaced the heating element in my Frigidaire dishwasher and still don't have hot water or dry dishes at the end of the wash cycle.

Hello Bette Good, thanks for your inquiry!

I see that you have replaced the heating element inside of your Frigidaire dishwasher but the dishes are not drying and the water is not hot. You may want to check the water temperature going into the dishwasher and that can be tested by using the sink closest to the dishwasher. The water temperature needs to be 120 degrees, the hotter the water the hotter the dishes will become to assist with drying.

Also check to assure that the rinse aid has been filled that will help with the drying of the dishes. I hope this information has been helpful. -Matt

Why do my frigidaire ultra quiet ii does not dry?

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand your Frigidaire dishwasher, model# FDB1050REC, is not drying your dishes. I also see you want to know which part needs to be replaced. Typically, this is not a do it yourself repair, as there are no step by step instruction manuals. I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose and determine what exactly is causing your appliance to not dry the dishes. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Please help! I just moved into a new house where the Frigidaire dishwasher worked great for 2 weeks. Now, it's leaving hard salt-like granules all over my dishes and not rinsing all the food off. ...

Your dishwasher has clogged water ports.
Start the dishwasher with NO dishes in it.
Once it starts the wash cycle, open the door and pour in 1 quart of WHITE vinegar and resume the wash cycle.
That should clear out the residue.
Change your dishwasher soap to the FINISH brand name for happy clean dishes.

Dishwasher cycle runs: tablet is not dissovlved, dishes dirty

If the dry cycle has a problem, check these:

Heating element
Drying fan
Thermostat
Heating element Your dishwasher has an electrical heating element that helps to dry the dishes. If the element is burned out, the dishes won't dry properly, and you need to replace the element.

Drying fan Many high-priced dishwashers have a small fan that blows air or heated air into the dishwasher to speed up the drying process. If the fan is defective, you need to replace it.

Thermostat Some dishwashers have a thermostat that monitors the drying temperature. If the thermostat is defective, the heating element may not cycle on or off properly. If that's the problem, you need to replace the thermostat.

I had the same problem. Turn the HIGH TEMP buttons off. Simply turning them off corrected this problem for me. Mine got stuck in two places and I had to manually turn the dials or the washer would run all night.
