Do you not have internet? I found the specs for your model instantly on Powermatic's web site. Don't be so lazy!!

For the high speed, (2950 ft/min), the belt should be installed on the rear pulley of both the motor and the wheel. For the low speed( 1445 ft/min), the belt should be installed on the front pulley of both the motor and wheel. To properly adjust the belt tension, turn hand wheel until there is 1/2" deflection in the "multi-vee" belt. By the way, where do you get your band saw blades? I got mine from sawblade.com and I happy with them.

I've never heard about that band saw. Is it made in USA?

check the other variable pulley on the other end

A lot of equipment is built with sealed bearings these days--just a fact of life. Good luck!

Have you tried these folks? Here's a site where you can download a manual, and somebody at the discussion forums there might have a better idea for the belt...

There is a little bearing that rides in a cam for adjusting the belt tension. It's probably shot. Good Luck!
