Sony DCR-SR82 has a faulty zoom

I would try Amazon.com, Ebay.com, etc. Of course, you can also Google "
handycam station" +DCR SR82"to find other sources.

Sony have had 1000's of these camera LCD's go down since 2007 on lots of Sony Movie cameras, did you get recall notice like I did in 2008?

Mi had problems colours on the beggining the finaly stopped DCR-SR32.
I changed by miself (it's cheaper not very easy) flex wire that conneting LCD with camcorder and it's like new. it's very common problem with DCR-SR. You might try to get the wire in the repair shop like I did it.Good luck

Had the same problem. It's ainternal flex wire connecting LCD with camcorder. Got from the repair shop did it by miself and it's like knew. It's very common in sony. Good luck

Look at page 19 and is shows the USB connection on the docking station for the DCR-SR82. There is no connection on the camera itself.

Why not contact Sony service centre ?

Are you sure that the software is designed to work on such an old version of Windows ?

i dont think that your camcorder is compatible with mac. you can see the compatibility of your camcorder here.

Did you press the disp/batt info button? That should turn the screen back on because it sounds like the screen is still working...
