I accidentally deleted all the partition when i am formatting the system partition how can i reinstall the OS now where i don't have recovery media. Is there any way to recover the deleted partition?

You cannot recover a lost or deleted partition by simply creating it in Windows Disk Manager (this can only make things worse). To recover partitions you will need partition recovery software Today there are TONS of partition recovery software on the Internet. I am going to give a short review of such software.
Here are some main kinds of partition recovery software:
  • It can be paid or free
  • It can run under Windows or only under DOS (usually from a boot CD)
  • It can give you the possibility to copy files off the lost partition (preferred) or just patch your hard drive (pretty much dangerous).
  • Active Partition Recovery DOS/WindowsPrice: $36Easiness to use: Average
    Safety: Average
Allows to recover partitions or files in Demo mode: No
    Link: http://www.partition-recovery.com/price.htm
  • or with this free software TestDiskPrice: FreeEasiness to use: Not easy
    Safety: Dangerous!
Allows to recover partitions or files in Demo mode: Yes

  • but still you can reinstall os on your drive by creating partition..(if no need to recover files)
  • during setup press c key to create partition and put size to what ever you want for C depends on your hdd size.for example your hdd is 80gb,then put size 30000 for C ,then enter
  • the remaining size is for D:scroll down D and press c key to create partion for D:then enter
  • wait till the setup finish

If windows vista fails on a laptop is it still possible to retrieve file, if so how is this done? Thanks!

You can do a couple things to try recovering your data. The first thing you can try is a repair install of the OS. To do this, you put in your OS disk, boot to the CDROM (it should automatically do it). Once it is in let the installation go until it detects a previous installation. After this it will ask if you want to run a repair installation, to which you say yes.

If this doesn't work or you don't want to try this step, you can remove the hard drive and install it into an external hard drive kit you can purchase from best buy. Make sure you buy the kit without the hard drive already in it! The kit will have instructions on how to install the hard drive. But it is very straight forward.

If you do not feel comfortable doing these steps I recommend you consult a local tech for assistance.

In short, yes it absolutely is possible to recover your information.

Good Luck,

Yes it is possible to data recover from this hard disk to using "active partetion recover v2.0 or above" software. This software should be registered and also bootable disk. It will be possible to data recover, if it will be detect in dos mode.

Procedure:
Insert the bootable disk into CD-Rom and choose boot from the cd rom and now check your disk is detected or not, if detected follow the instruction and your all data could be recover with your complete partions.
