I had the same problem. If you turn the dispenser so that the front faces away from you, look on the left side in the front. half way up there is a space with what looks like a plastic clip that might hold the dispenser to the front bezel. This actually holds the magnet, which can be installed without taking the dispenser apart. Be sure to install (pop in) the magnet vertically so that the long part of the magnet sits next to the right side of the dispenser opening (when viewed from the front) when the drawer is closed.

Magnet fell out of the soap dispenser and now the washer will not fill with water

The magnet needs to be located on the right side of the dispenser housing it is there so the machine knows the drawer is closed. The link below will show the location of the magnet which is part number 51 near the bottom of the page.

Fridgidare Model #LTF2940ESO won't start Error Message DDO

The code means the detergent door is open. There is a magnet placed inside the detergent door cover housing that has probably fallen out. This magnet completes a circuit when the door is closed. It usually happens when cleaning the compartment and can usually be found stuck somewhere on the washer metal body itself or somewhere on the path you took while taking it to wash it out. Take the detergent tray out and dissamble it by pushing open the plastic tabs that hold it together. Look for the small 1"long magnet. If there isn't one. take your tray assembly to a repair dealer and have them put a new one back in. It is just a few dollars and your problem will be solved.

Magnet fell out of dispensing drawer and I don't seem to be able to find where to replace it. Washer will not start without it. Kenmore model 417 44152400

I dont see why there would be a magnet in the dispenser draw in the first place,,,, is it possible it somehow got in there by accident and when it fell out you thought it belonged in there ?

Magnet came out and now washer won't run

on the under side of the dispencer, remove it, flip it over, fit it in with some glue, as far toward the inner part as possible, put it back, try the washer, if it still doesnt fill, try pulling it out a little and see if that works, if it does this is the amount you need to move the magnet back.

Not filling with water

Answer: The magnet goes on the back of the dispenser door. Pull entire dispenser out per instructions elsewhere in manual as if you were going to clean it. Turn it around so that you are looking at it from the back end. The magnet goes vertically on the very left edge (as you're looking at it, right edge when dispenser is in machine) of the back of the white outer cover of the dispenser about halfway down. If you run your finger along the left edge (the edge of the back of the dispenser) you will find a "cut out" area. The magnet goes immediately to the right of it between the edge and the portion of the dispenser that sticks further out toward you. There is a small clip to hold it in place.
I found instructions somewhere on the web similar to these that helped me locate it , but can't find it now to link or give credit. I have added some photos I took to help schematically challenged folks like myself.
PS If you need bifocals remove the front cover from the dispenser, take your glasses off and look at the far middle left of the back of the dispenser cover. It's really hard to see.

Frigidaire + ddo error code

Excellent solution. I had a similar problem. The trick is to figure out where to put the magnet. I had a hard time with that.

For those like me who might have difficulty finding the spot for the magnet, it goes on the right hand side of the detergent door. The easiest way to do it is to pull the detergent door all the way out of the machine and look at it such that the back of the door is facing you. The magnet fits vertically in a slot on the left side as you are looking at the door (right side of the doorwhen inserted in the machine) in the white plastic. It sits vertically and is held by a small latch. This is not obvious at all...

My door lock magnet fell out and I don't know whee to put it back on the dispensr mechanism tomake t lock

I found it! If you are looking at the drawer from the back the magnet sits in the pocket in the far left. The plastic extends out like a clip (to hold the magnet in place). You depress that when placing the magnet in.
