Not working. Cal on display. Display not properly connected
I have Thermador C302 double wall oven. I was getting F24 error with beeping sound. I opened the front display to check all connections. Now when In turned the power on, both ovens start heating up with the light on but the front glass display doesn't show any lights and all buttons don't work. I have to turn the power off from the electric panel of the house. Any idea what went wrong?
This board set can also be rebuilt at www.fixyourboard.com. Dim display is a common failure that can be repaired reliably at a fraction of the new board cost. Here are the relevant partnumbers :

SOURCE: Oven timer and temperature display dim
You need a new display/relay board package they have come up with to solve this problem. The parts generally run about $250, and if you have it repalced by a service company, the total will be a little less than $500. The display is really easy to change by itself, but you must change the realy board with it, and it has about 40 different wires going to it. If you draw a diagram as you take the wires off, and label them carefully, it isn't that hard to do the whole job..just take your time. This is a problem thermadore/dacor ovens have had for some time. If it isn't too old you may try calling thermadore and see if they are willing to at least buy you the parts, as this is a known problem. Good Luck!

I just replaced two of the capacitors and it worked thank God. I couldn't get at the 3rd capacitor with the soldering iron because the display blocks it and I couldn't see how to remove the display unit. We had already begun shopping for a new double oven. This was the last resort. The capacitors were $1.78 apiece at an electronics store. A repairmen quoted us a $780 fix - with him shipping the parts out to be rebuilt because Thermador is out of business and not producing parts anymore. There is a great place in Canada called Appliancetimers.com which will rebuild the timer for you inexpensively ($109) but they also want you to send the Power Relay Board which requires removal of the double oven to get at it. We found that it was much too heavy to consider that solution.

Hi,
I see this post has been here for quite some time. Sorry you haven't had an answer yet, while I can't say why, If you still are inquiring, the problem lies in the control and harness assembly. In my professional experience with almost all thermador of this era it's sometimes a bad solder on the control pin connector from the display,(which can be fixed by a proficient soldering person or conversely destroyed by a poor one) a bad transformer integrated onto said control, or other times just a bad harness, you'll likely need a control in any event. When you purchase a control ( # 1051714 for 302-double or 1051712 for 301 single oven models, and around $200US check your local parts depot or service center.) they should have new harness enclosed in the packaging of the control.
I just joined here less than a month ago, so I'm starting to see alot of post's I haven't seen before (there are many) and likely some may never get answered directly, but alot are the same if you search out similarities.
hope this helps.
**I should add this could be a job for a professional tech, who depending on how proficient they are or how the environment is set up, could handle this in 30-45 min or so. It is quite straight forward for one experienced with servicing thermador units. I would suggest you insist on an authorized b/s/h tech, they tend to have more of the update info if any or reworks etc.**
The above (re: hiring a tech) is just my opinion based on my professional experience and there may be opposing opinions, in the end you are the authority.
hope I've been helpful to you,
Good Luck
