ERROR CODE F3
Hi Janine.
F3 means "Shorted oven temperature sensor" and it is
returned when the oven electronic control detects a wrong impedance
value from the oven temperature sensor circuit.
The oven temperature sensor is a probe located inside the oven cavity.
The sensor can be removed from the oven and tested using a multimeter
set on impedance. The impedance reading across the two sensor's contacts
at room temperature must be about 1100 Ohms. Impedance increment rate
is 100 Ohms more for every 50 degrees temperature increase. If the
reading is sensibly different from this value the sensor must be
replaced.
Here the replacement part: Long Oven Sensor Kit
The sensor is indicated as part number 11 in the exploded view available here.
The sensor is held by two screws. In order to replace the sensor
disconnect power, disconnect the connector attached to the sensor, undo
the two screws and remove the sensor. Perform operations in reverse
order to install the new sensor.
Regards.

SOURCE: E2- F3 Error code, what does that mean??
The F3 E2 error code indicates that the electronic oven control board in the range senses an over-temperature condition in the oven.
This can be caused by a failed temperature sensor probe, a wiring problem between the sensor and the control board, or a failed electronic oven control board.
If the oven is apparently not overheating when this error code appears, then your likely failure is the temperature sensor probe.
If the oven is overheating, then you likely have a failed electronic oven control board due to a stuck relay not cycling the oven heating element off properly.
For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...
FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.
PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.
If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.
Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.
If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.
Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question!^!^!

I have the same problem. I noticed that the oven gets to the selected temp ok. Then when the pilot attempts to RELIGHT, it gets the error F3. Did you get a solution? After other posts, I will see if the temp sensor is around 1100 ohm as suggested by others. Ken
SOURCE: F3 and F2 Error Codes
If hitting clear/cancel won't clear it try unplugging and then plug it back in. My guess is the oven control is bad. Here are the fault codes for this model.
Failure
Code
Condition
Check/Repair
F0 or F1
Failed transistor in control
If code cannot be cancelled, replace the Electronic Range Control (ERC) or touch pad
F2
Oven over temp - exceeded 590F with door in unlocked position or 990F with door locked
If actual temp condition occurred, look for welded relay contacts or high resistance connection or any cause in the oven temperature sensor circuit
F3
Open oven temperature sensor circuit
Measure oven temperature sensor circuit at oven temperature sensor (should be approx 1100 ohms at room temp); check for cut or pinched wire or loss of contact
F4
Shorted oven temperature sensor circuit
Same as above; check for melted connector or both leads shorted to ground
F8
Component failure within Electronic Range Control (ERC) effecting temp processing circuits
Replace Electronic Range Control (ERC)
F9
Problem with door lock circuit such as pinched wire between Electronic Range Control (ERC) and door lock switch
Check wiring and test operation of switch

I too had this error, replaced the temperature sensor but still have the error. can anyone suggest next step. thank you
Had similar symptoms. F3 & F5 error code at temps over 375. Replaced temp sensor($15) but still had error codes. Removed clock/control mechanism and had it rebuilt for $99 + $13 S/H one-way. (boards in module are no longer available) Many rebuilders on eBay but selected "BoardBusters" because of 100% rating. Fast turnaround and fixed the problem. Note: If they can't fix it, they charge a $10 fee and will return module.
repaired my control board by replacing the 3300 uf 16v capacitor, it was reading at 3000. Unit works fine now.
