Syncing my new computer with my itouch.

I bought a new computer and it wants to erase all my stuff on my itouch, I have podcasts and most of all my contacts and the dictionary and Bible on my itouch and when I downloded itunes and i put in my account info it was like I have to start all over again, if so what an apple rip off since I only bought those applications early this year!
Is there a way that my new computer can keep everything that I have in my itouch and not erase it but sync it to the computer?

In my case I have a music library that was synced with my IPod Nano and now I have an ITouch that I've already downloaded music to from the store, but when I try to sync my existing library it says that all existing music on the ITouch will be erased...

Hey, Id be happy to help :). Actually there is a way to have all the stuff on your Ipod touch to be in your computer. Although you can't those things on your computer by syncing it because your computer obviously won't let you. What you must do is, in your itunes program on your computer select Itunes store, and on the side you will see the option to sign in, now you must sign in with your apple or aol account. Once you are signed in, just go up to the top of the Itunes program where it says File, edit, view, etc . But up there you will see the "store" tab. Click on it, and under it you will see the "check for available downloads.." option. Click on it and a history of things you got of itunes with your account will pop up . You can view this history by clicking the "purchased" tab on the side bar of your Itunes program, if you click on it it will have listed, your apps, your bible, etc and it should be ( currently ) downloading every single item under there. :) After this, it will have all the things you ever got down in Itunes on your computer/itunes library. So now you can erase your Ipod touch and then you can plug it into your computer and sync all the stuff You have on there. Although, wait and see if you computer downloads all the things you have ever gotten before you erase your Ipod. Because I don't want you to wipe out your ipod and your computer not have your apps and etc . Thanks! and I hope this helps, and Id appreciate it if you rate my solution.

ITouch pass code forgotten?

If you cannot remember the pass-code or password to your new iTouch MP3 player first thing you can do to unlock the IPod is by doing the following: Connect your IPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one IPod synced with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked. If you can't unlock IPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs]. . . you can do a Hard re-set. Hold down the screen lock button and the home button at the same time for 30 seconds. You will lose all your stuff (music, videos). You will then need to restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod. Then you can reset your pass-code and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you want to change the primary computer that your IPod is associated with, do this: A. Restore your iPod. WARNING: The restore process will erase all your music, videos etc and cannot be undone. All of your songs and files will be deleted. B. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer. C. Open iTunes and synchronize.

My itouch will not sync with itunes anymore. a window pops up and says I need to enable my computer to sync and I don't know what to do

Syncing music manually If you prefer not to automatically sync music content to your iPod, you can set up manual syncing.
  1. Connect your iPod to your computer and open iTunes.
  2. Select iPod in the Devices section on the left side of the iTunes window. ht1351_7.jpg
  3. In the main iTunes browser window, select the Summary tab.
  4. Select the option to "Manually manage music and videos" or "Manually manage music." This will deselect the automatic sync settings for the Music, Movies, and TV Shows tabs. Automatic syncing for Podcasts, Photos, Contacts, and Games can be individually disabled by selecting those options in each of those tabs. Note: When manually managing iPod, disk use is enabled and iPod must always be manually ejected in iTunes before disconnecting it from your computer. ht1351_8.jpg
  5. Click Apply.
  6. To manually add music, audiobooks, movies or TV shows to your iPod, choose one of these categories under Library on the top-left of the iTunes window.
  7. Select and drag items you want (to choose multiple items, Command-click items on a Mac or Control-click items in Windows), then drag them onto your iPod icon under Devices.
  8. To add a playlist, select it from the left side of the iTunes window and drag it onto your iPod in the same way. ht1351_9.jpg
  9. When you are ready to disconnect your iPod, select it under Devices and click the eject icon next to it.

Hi,

Syncing the music to the mac OS10 is much easy please follow the steps below:

You have the option to sync all songs and playlists or selected playlists. Your iPod will need to have enough free space to sync the content that you have selected from your library. Tip: You can use the capacity bar at the bottom of the iPod settings window to determine how much free space is available. The size of a playlist can be determined by selecting it and looking at the bottom of the iTunes window.

Podcasts can also be automatically synced to iPod. Select the Podcasts tab and choose to sync all podcasts or selected ones. You can also determine which episodes are synced based on if they are recent, new, or unplayed

Click Apply and iTunes will begin syncing the audio content you've selected to your iPod. The iTunes LCD will display the sync progress and notify you when the iPod sync is complete

Cannont transfer podcasts to itouch from itunes

It could be a bad file. If you're resetting your device, and then adding you music and such back, there may be some bad song, or app that is corrupting your device. On my Mp3 player, it would get stuck on a song that wasn't really there, so I found some corrupt goofy Weird Al song, removed it, and it never happened again.

My iTouch is disabled but my dad deleted my iTunes off my laptop:

if your father deleted your song library then you will have to download your music again.
same with your apps
if your restore all that will do is load a new copy of your ipod software in the ipod.
it won't help with getting your songs back
it will help with removing the password lock.

Syncing my itouch with itunes

Itunes can sync infinite ipods and should have no trouble, so there isnt a problem with having two ipods. Try this: turn off your ipod, hold the home button, and plug it into itunes while still holding the home button until a picture of the itunes symbol appears with a cable under it. itunes should say "ipod found in restore mode". this will get rid of any previous users' settings, and hopefully fix anything preventing itunes from syncing with your ipod.

Itouch unlock password

if you do not know your passcode then make sure it is plugged in 2 the cp and make sure the itouch is on the screen where it says enter passcode. then you hold the power and home button at the same time until the itouch completely turns off and then you keep on holding both buttons until the apple logo again. and after that appears, you let go of the power button but you keep holding the home button until the itouch says its connected to itunes. and then you are allowed to access it on itunes. then you need to restore it and it will restore ur hole ipod and there will not be a passcode anymore
