Hi, i have samsung LE32R74BDX 32in, every time an anoying pop-up called (series5) comes on the bottom of the screen and then on the left side of the screen. i have tried everything but nothing works. do you know how to disable? or maybe how to reset the tv to a factory settings? thank you

It does sound a lot like a buffer board problem, Just which one is the question. Sometimes it is in fact a connection issue. But 1/2 of the screen missing sounds like maybe connection between the 2 buffer boards. It could possibly be the panel. If that is the case. ITs over for that set. But i would suggest first calling samsung and asking them to extend the warranty for 90 days or so. Sometimes they will do this for nice customer such as yourself. 1-800-SAMSUNG. No set top box required. Your TV has the latest technology. If so desired you could subscribe to a cable or satellite network and you will receive a box that will pick up all channels. HD channels are usually extra. As far as picking up "digital" broadcasting, no worries because your TV is already digital capable.

This is a serious problem, you have to call SS right away since it is in warrantee. They need to check whether the panel is defective.

Also, Check the picture menus for a pixel-to-pixel or 1-to-1 mode. This allows you to watch an HD signal with no overscan.
