Re: 'old' ECS G31T-M
Hi coolee101.
I made it work with BIOS 080717s reflash downloaded from ECS web.
It is 'pain' to do that, but it's over...
I followed intruction from 'Guest' on October 29 2008; I installed Intel Celeron and checked the AMI BIOS setup is working. After that I download reflash info and updated BIOS from WEB page.
Here is more detail on steps:
Step 1 - make BOOT disk. I used XP OS
Step 2 - Download BIOS, extract and keep DOS utility program
Step 2B - add connection on MB to enable REFLASH. ( Install connection of pin 5 (write protect) to pin 7 (GND) on connector SPI ROM.).
Step 3 and Step 4 are per ECS pdf instruction - ( I used 'DOS' exe + BIOS file name)
Step 5. Disconnect WRITE PROTECT 5-7 on MB
Step 6 Install your original CPU (I 've got Intel Duo E85000 w/ mb, 4G 800).
... restart to see it work... it's time to be cool again!
Good luck

Go into control panel, open up the icon realtec hd sound effect. left click on audio I/O, left click on little blue wrenchtowards the top of screen. Put check mark in the box next to Disable front panel jack detection. exit out & plug into front asound it it will work, the back sound will still work to.

This fix was for the ones who could not get the front audio to work. Sorry if I posted it in the wrong problem.

Had a new G31T-M mainboard! I use it with intel quad chip! I followed the instruction in user`s guide but it can not start! it stops at screen with a note "press F11 to start BBS POPUP". Can u tell me how to go over it! It stops with CPU and System Fan Run ! I use 2x2 Kingston yes my story is the same
You don't say what processor, but most quads need a bios flash. you'll need a floppy and a processor that works in that board. I used a celeron 430.

I have the same problem.
Yep I got this problem too. Just hangs at this screen. Says to press DEL or F11 but when I use the keyboard nothing happens. I thought the keyboard dead so tried it on another computer. It's OK. I have Quad Q9550 CPU, Intel G31T, 4 GB Corsair RAM. All fans are running. I got Zalman 9500A LED. Help! Suggestions. Thanks everyone.

No response with del or esc on keyboard to enter setup. Have a new G31T-M mainboard! I use it with intel E8500 I followed the instruction in user`s guide but it can not start! it stops at screen with a note "press F11 to start BBS POPUP" and 4G DDR2. The keyboard LEDs flashe twice then nothing. HDD, CD/DVD and FDD are not connected.
I have similiar problem. I have EliteGroup ECS G31T-M Motherboard with 4G DDR2 800. It posts description inluding F11 and reads RAM setup. Thats all. Never gets to screen to post " DEL to set BIOS". Keybord is not active. I tried 3 working keybords, changed SATA WD 500G HD , changed IDE WS HD which seems to power, I connected audio out, DCD drive seems to power. Stuck it is in the same sequence.

Fry's upgraded the BIOS and it worked. However, when i use the DEL key to get into the BIOS, the number is v 02.59 which is not same as 08/07/17 on ECS website. Also, the front panel leds and speaker does not work. Anyone has a suggestion - how to determine the BIOS version and get the front panel to work?
Thanks
