LG KG290 There is no prompt to let me know that there is a voice mail message. Is there a setting I need to set-up? When I try the SIM Card in another phone everything works fine including voicemail prompt. Kindly advise? thanks

You can dial 1 usually that is the speed dial for majority of the companies voicemail system Then quickly press the asterisk button and that will prompt you to the main menu From there you will be able to set your voicemail greeting

First you should know the voicemail enquiry number of your mobile operator. Some of the operators save their numbers unto your sim card by default when you purchase it, but if that is not the case, check the information booklet that came with your sim starter pack. Or ask around. Then dial voicemail. Since your have not initially set up a voice mail box, you would be guided through steps to set up one. Just follow the voice prompts and it would be set up.

If you know the voicemail number of your network, thats good. But if you dont, check your sim starter pack for it.
When you dial the number, since you do not have an initial vioce mail set up, you would be guided through the steps to get it set up. Just follow the voice prompt, and you have it.

Voice mail: press [Messages] button, enter code when prompted, follow voice prompts
Missed calls: press [Directories] button, press [Missed Calls] softkey, scroll through numbers

MMS settings are different for every provider.

Your best options are to.

1. Go to your providers website and look for them on there. (Sometimes you are able to have them sent to you from their page via text message)
2. Call your provider and they will send you the settings via text message that you read and delete. The settings will automatically be put in for you.

Voice mail allows callers to leave voice messages, which can be retrieved any time.

Note: Once your voice mail account has been set up, you can use the Voice Mail folder (under the Message menu) to view details of voice messages in your voice mail box.

1. In idle mode, press and hold the key or dial your own mobile number
to dial voice mail.

2. Follow the prompts in the new user tutorial to setup your mail box.

2. Interrupt your greeting by pressing .

I had the same problem with my LG 600G. The problem was the preprogramed voice mail # on the phone might be incorrect. You will need to call Tracfone and get the correct # for your area.

press and hold the 1 key down until it accesses voice mail then follow the prompt

my lg kg290 doesnt have good service and it wont let me call when i have service. it just says emergency call snly

If you have the feature, then you just need to call your Voice mail under messages, or call your phone from a secondary line * preferably a land line * and call your cell number, once the voice mail prompt starts enter * and it should prompt for a password which the default is the last 7 digits of your cell ** everything after the area code ** and it should all work, Let me know how it goes, thanks
