Screen flickers and pictures have lines across them on my lumix DMC-TZ3

The camera is probably damaged, this also happend to my DMC-TZ5 as well after a few (5-6) years of heavy use but without any visible damage, a repair is most likely more expensive than just buying one of the new lumix cameras which have also improved A LOT, so you wont be disappointed!

My panosonic DMC TZ 65 has vertical loines on display screen

Welcome to Fixya

Sounds like you have a LCD screen problem and need to be replaced. Try to drain the electrostatic charge of the mainboard of the camera. Take out the battery and press and hold the power button for 15 secs. Put back the battery in and turn on the camera. If vertical lines still shows up then the problem is already the screen.

Its a Panasonic DMC-TZ3. all on a sudden, LCD is not working. Monitors remains dark when I press 'On' button and the photo taken are also dark. However old photos on the SD card I can in the screen...

Hello

If you can view the pictures previously taken with the camera on the camera LCD, but the new photos just come out black, this is most probably a blown ccd.

This is a expensive component to replace, and you will also need specialized equipment to do this yourself.

I would suggest that you take your camera to your nearest repair shop and let them test the ccd.

Hope this can be of help.

Kind regards
Andrea

Dark screen when I turn on the camera and take pictures.

It looks like the LCD backlight malfunction. Check the backlight voltage, if you have the voltage there, you need to replace the LCD unit, otherwise the main board is defective.

How tu use video recording..

Hi,

The picture that I posted shows a TZ3 mode dial. I added a blue arrow to point out an icon on the mode dial.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Turn the mode dial on the camera so this icon is selected.
2. Switch on the camera.
3. Aim the camera at your subject, press the shutter button halfway to focus, then press it fully to begin the video. (Just as you would take a picture.)
4. To stop taking video, press the shutter button fully again.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

~When a video starts being taken, its current length will appear on the camera's LCD screen.
~Videos take up more space on the memory card than do pictures.
~If an SD memory card becomes full while recording, then the video will stop automatically.
~Videos can be played back on the camera's "PLAYBACK" mode. They can also be viewed on a TV or downloaded to a computer.

Lumix TZ3 lens does not open

It is not clear if you are saying whole camera turns off or just screen turns off.

Notice before the camera went bad the lense does not extend in play mode, while it does in record mode. Many cameras have software that automatically turns camera off if lens cannot/fails to extend for some reason. Try to help it extend in record mode before camera turns off.

White screen.

You may want to ask a guy in South Carolina that has all the used parts for your TZ3. I think his email is [email protected]
