Check the cooling fans inside the amp i suspect that they are not working properly and this causing it to overheat which will shut it down via a thermistor to prevent damage

thank you, I will check it out...hopefully that's all it is!

Looks like there is no cooling fan for this amp, according to the crutchfield website.

well its a heat sink problem or a faulty ****** so it may pay you to fit a cooling fan ,before you blow something and need a new one ..more expense

My NAD C326BEE amp goes into protection mode at moderate volume

The protection only should come on, when the power amplifier has to give more current than it can deliver. (electronic fuse)
If in the music is a lot of subsonic, sound, so low you can't hear and your speakers can't produce, this could cause the problem. Normal CD players will cut of all frequencies beneath 20 Hz, but it could be your PC is giving everything from 1 Hz and above.
I would certainly try to play some music over a CD player and check if that would solve your problem. Not sure if that works, what you could do to suppress the sub sonic in the computer music.

I have a 2000watt 4 channel. When I tun the music up to a moderate level the amp begins to cut in and out. I watch the blue light fade in and out. The amp is not overheating because it start as soon as I...

Generally speaking, an amp attempts to protect itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'naked'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted or, again, evaluate the impedance load. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.

Check for loose speaker connections at the speaker as a possible root cause for intermittent shutdown.

After driving for about thirty minutes my amp will just cut off, it seems a little hot and then it will turn back on in about 10 minutes. I'm not playing my music loud at all and I have all kenwood...

sounds like your speaker is either the wrong resistance for your amp ie your amp may state 4 ohms and your speaker is 2 ohms which means that the speaker is shorting out the amp and its going into protection mode or the speaker could be burning out and shorting out the amp

I have a pretty old Panasonic SA-AK630. At some point I started having the following problem. Once the sound is turned up to a certain point, the speakers are cut off and only the subwoofer is working....

I think you're indicating a self-protection problem.

One or more speakers or amps could be going South on you.

Kenwood amp kac-x401m

How long will the bass play before the amp kicks into protection mode and how loud are you listening to it? I've noticed with my amps that if they don't have enough air flow they will get hot and kick into protection mode. They will also kick into protection mode if you are running it at more than it can handle. Check your adjustments on both your amp and the head unit. Make sure you are not running more bass than the amp can handle.

Denon avr-5600 protection circuit.

My AVR 5600 has worked flawlessly for nearly 9 years!

Suddenly, when trying to play music (DVD or CD) through my LS32's (JBLPro), once I achieve higher volume, the receiver cuts off.... Using a Symetrex mixer, NO OVERLOAD light on the Denon, it simply cuts off!

Re-cut all the wire connectors... TV movies (5.1) work great at normal listening volumes.... but tonight, when cranking up music, the receiver simply cut off. Blinking light...

Sounds like you like your music like me... LOUD. If you've done this a number of times, there are a few things that can happen:

1. You've blown the speakers... but you've said it operates for 2 seconds, then cuts out.
2. You've damaged the amplifier modules within the amp and they immediately overheat upon power-up. Does the music come back like 5 or 10 seconds after the unit cuts out?
3. Thermal switch has malfunctioned and just cuts off the power to the amplifier modules as soon as it sees any heat.
4. If you've gotten the amp really HOT during playing, it's possible that it's as simple as the amp modules are only intermittently connected (fatigued/stressed or cold solder joints) at the on the PCB. Just resolder the connections of the amp module to the PCB. I've seen that happen numerous times and that's where I'd place my money.
