If you have already installed a new map or performed a factory (hard) reset, choose Restore your Favorites from a previous backup.Restoring Favorites from a previous backup can only be done if you have previously performed a backup of your Tom Tom device.

Usually, you'll want to connect a new TomTom GPS to your computer, and (using TomTom HOME), register the device and get the latest maps (downloaded and) installed on your GPS.

Nothing working on screen when fully charged
Make sure all games and accessories are removed. If you cannot get it to work, you will have to get the unit services because you need the ds reset.

there is also a possibility that the motherboard is damaged or the IOS for the unit.

If this unit was modded in anyway, the unit could be in a bricked mode. Bricked means useless and a paper weight.

Time change killed palm
If thatn doesn't work, put your palm aside for a week allowing battery to completely drain. Repeat procedure after a full charge. If this is helpful please post as such.

Samsung K5 trouble shooting
i had a different problem before... mine turned on, but lagged with the "Samsung" logo for more than 5 minutes. Then I pushed the Reset button at the back, and it turned off. When I tried to open it again, it just lagged once more. I then realized that I recently put a playlist I made with Windows Media Player, which turned out to make it NOT work (and probably caused the lag for some reason), so I deleted the playlist, and it wwnt back to normal again. What a relief.

GARMIN c550 will not turn on
There is an ISSUE with the DEAD ZUMO, however some of the are solved, and some need to be shipped back.
There are a couple of options.
1) remove the battery, keep power button pressed for a few minutes. install battery, try.
2) fully recharge the battery with the wall charger, try
3) With a fully charged battery, press and hold the + button and press the power button(hard reset).
4) hold thumb firmly on top left of touch screen and hold power button till it switches on(hard reset).
5) Try a different battery (fully charged)
6) Ship it to Garmin
