Hello,

The E6-F2 error code means that the control board thinks there is a problem with the cancel button on the touch pad. Sometimes its due to a loose connection from the ribbon cable on the touch pad. You can push cancel and clear it and if within 5 or under the error code returns the touchpad needs to be replaced. But first check/have the connection checked to make sure its tight. The way modern things work though is grand and Whirlpool say if after replacing touchpad the error code returns once again the clock/control board is what needs to be replaced.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F2-E6 error code indicates a open/shorted oven temperature sensor and to solve this problem the sensor needs replacement. If you wan to be sure before replacing the sensor then you can test it with a voltmeter for around 1100ohms....if it reads more then this then it needs replacement however, if the reading is around or less then 1100ohms then it is the control board that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

I keep getting the following error message: E6 F2 - what does this mean?

If you have a Whirlpool oven, the F2 E6 error means that the Cancel key line is open. You will need to replace the keypad or the keypad and controller board (if a single assembly) if the keypad doesn't respond to a press of the Cancel Key.

I hope this helps.

I have an error code of E6 and F2 on my whirlpool accu-bake oven display panel. What do they mean.

Hi

F2-E6 Error indicates a loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the door appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

My RBD275PDB14 Whirlpool double electric oven started displaying an E6 F2 error message and intermitently shutting down after a power outage. I replaced the control panel but it is still displaying the...

F2 - E6 Cancel key drive line open 1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control board).
2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock).

I have a whirlpool self cleaning double oven, no manual, just moved in to house. Anyways, oven is reading E6 F2 on screen.

E6 F2 on a whirlpool double oven translates to "Cancel Key drive open". We see this frequently and is always a problem with the control board. At www.fixyourboard.com it can be repaired quickly and reliably at a fraction the cost of a new board.
