I have a Poulan 2055 2.0 C.I. CHAIN SAW. NOT A CAR. I have changed the coil on it. When I try to crank it, it turns but nothing else.

CHECK SPARK FIRST, THE CLASSIC WAY FOR 100 YEARS GOOGLE HOW. 5MILLION HITS. i USE NEW TEST SPARK PLUG TO TEST SPARK. GROUND TO ENGINE BLOCK (METAL) IF GOOD , SPARK NEXT IS BAD FUEL OR EVEN THE AIR FILTER PACKED UP IN SAW DUST EASY AS PIE. OR CLOGGED FUEL FILTER FROM BAD FUEL AND LAST CLOGGED CARB FROM BAD FUEL OR AMAZING AS IT IS ALL 3 WRONG, FUEL DOWN. I ASSUMED COMPRESSION IS GOOD. HAND PULLED STATER . OR NOT USING CHOKE OR TOO MUCH.

I have two poulan chain saw with the same problem can not get the gas to flow from the tank to the carb .the primer fine also the fuel lines have been replaced

It is important if you have changed the fuel lines that they are reconnected correctly, the bubble is a purge not a primer, so it pulls fuel from the carb and dumps back to the tank, on the back of the bubble there are two connections, one long one short, the long connection is the pressure side so goes back to the tank, the short one is the suction side so this goes to the carb connection nearest to the metering cover ( the one held with four screws) the fuel hose from the tank with the filter on the end goes to the connection on the carb nearest to the pump cover (held with a single centre screw) if you have not already done so replace the fuel filter in the tank.

Chain damage

The chain could be stretching. Are you using a good quality bar and chain lube? Never use old motor oil. Once the chain has jumped several times it may be bent. Properly adjust the chain and keep an eye on it while using. start with a new bar and chain and watch the tension. You can also replace the tool less cover with a standard cover for about $25

ETHANOL fuel has completely dissolved

Yes, anything can be fixed, well almost. I've had the same problem with small engines. Start by taking the plastics off, you should be able to find the rest of the fuel line that goes to the primer bulb. Then from the bulb to the carb. You need to the correct size fuel line and replace it and put on a new filter. Just remember, if it damaged the lines, the carb needs to be removed and soaked or replaced. To keep from going through this again I recommend the pre mix two cycle fuel, just make sure the ratio is correct, chainsaws are usually 50:1 and other small engines run 40:1

It's possible the brake is on. Try pushing the brake forward then pulling it back until you hear it click. Then try cranking it again.

What causes a chainsaw to run great until it gets hot. It then shuts off and will not restart?

Anyways.... your coil is throwing intermittent spark. Which is a sign of a coil going bad. It's basically malfunctioning when it's around severe heat. Don't bang your head against the wall bud, get a new coil assy.

What is oregon chain sharpen angle

I sharpen to 35 degrees, right or wrong. I'm sure there are more aggressive angles for the larger pro-saws, but this has served me well over the years on many brands of chain.

Brand new saw ... (x-mas present) ... chain came

You will need to remove the chain. Usually, the chain is damaged beyond repair after it jumps the bar. However, sometimes you can repair it with a flat file.

Inspect the chain for damaged links. Usually, the chain guide teeth that ride through the bar slot get damaged. It doesn't take much distortion of the guide teeth to bind in the bar slot. Sometimes, you can file the sides of these damaged guide teeth down enough to operate smoothly.

Be sure you check the tension of your chain after every 3-4 cuts so this doesn't become an issue. New chains will get play in them faster than used chains.

Be sure to also inspect your chain bar/bar sprocket for any damage.
