Check that speakers are NOT less than 4 ohms. Swap speakers and verify problem stays on same channel. If it mives with the speaker you are going to be replacing the speaker. There is an electronic fuse that senses excessive current and locks the channel off until you cycle the power off and on. Also there are some older speakers with built in volume controls that this amplifier does not like.

The MON faders ONLY control the output to the MON L and MON R jacks, NOT the split use of MAIN/MON outputs. You MIGHT try varying the MONO fader and see if it varies the MON part of the split output.
Best to use the unit as MAIN L and R to main speakers and use a stereo amp or POWERED monitors driven from the MON L and R jacks. With this, the MON faders will control your monitors as you would like them to.
ALSO make sure ALL equipment connected together is powered from teh same recepacle power system. Powering interconnected equipment from receptacles at opposite ends of the room is asking for damage due to ground bounce and faults.
PLEASE read my tip on here about a HAZARD of speaker polarity if you use Speakon to 1/4 inch cables.

If you are using the amp in stereo mode, then you will require a separate amp for the monitors and the input of that amp are taken using BALANCED TRS cables from the monitor jacks. If you are using the amp as MONO and monitor, then connect NO MORE than two 8 ohm speakers to the Speakon plug on the back labeled for use as monitor. Refer to your user manual... they have detailed photos of the connections. If you lost your manual, you can download another from the Behringer site. There are settings you need to do to configure the unit after connecting your speakers. The small slide switch has to be set to the center position for Main/Mon. Make sure it is centered as many people have had it slightlyu off and the system will NOT pass audio. You need to set each channel "monitor 1" level control to send the monitor signal to the MONITOR mixing bus. You will then use the MONITOR 1 slider to control the amount sent to the monitor. Be VERY careful of grounding the sleeve of 1/4 inch jacks that originate at the Speakon power amp outputs as the SLEEVE of channel A is the HOT side and you can blow the power amp for the channel... it is EXPENSIVE to repair.

Those specs would be right - I have this same board but the amp was fried by a previous owner. I pulled the amp board out and tossed it and use the mixer now to drive an external amp. Great board. This amp is rated at 1200W "peak", bridged into an 8ohm load. That would equate to about 900W RMS bridged into 8ohm or 450 per side into 4ohm loads per side. You can't daisy chain all 4 speakers....impedance would be too low. You can run two of your 8ohm speakers per side - that results in a 4ohm load per side for the amp. That would give you amp delivery of 450W per side. Your speakers are rated to handle more than that so you're fine. For the record.....you could run one speaker per side no problem....just lower power output.

There isn't anything in the power supply you cannot rebuild except the transformer.

BUT you should verify that something in the mixer didn't short out and damage the supply.

After you relace the smoked parts (likely the TOP245Y offline regulator chip is gonzo... then you use this trick to restart the unit safely:

Put a 60 Watt light bulb in series with the hot side of the input power line. I would recommend you use an ISOLATION transformer when working on the power line side of this for safety.

The answer is "Not Much"... they upped the rating for power out and added 1000 to the model number... I don't know of any circuitry difference between them... it would probably be minor. Functionality is the same.

This unit will put out around 400 Watts a side. PLENTY !

If you want a sub, either get a powered one or an amp for it and run off the MON output.

CAUTION: NEVER permit the speaker cable to be removed or interrupted whilc power is on... you will arc out the rear most amp in the unit... I know... I fix them... There si a bit of weak insulation that can arc through on a circuit board.

If you ever have a fuse blow, DO NOT replace it, you will do further damage inside the unit... take it for service.

Absolute maximum is two of these per side. The speakers are 8 ohm and two on each of the outputs would be 4 ohms which is the minimum allowed for the amplifier. You will get about 400 Watts RMS per side doing this. Please note that the stated 1200 watts for the amp is the PEAK (fakey) values put forth in all the ads we get now. With 4 total B212XL's you should be able to fill an indoor venue of about 10000 square feet with sound at the OSHA limit.

Try plugging in a set of headphones into each of the mon left and right. If the monitor sliders are up AND the channel monitor knobs are up you should be able to hear in ONE SIDE only of the headphones. If not, then you may have failed to power your monitor amp or speakers from the SAME receptacle as the mixer and this can result in ground bouncein building wiring that will blow out the driver chips for the mon signals.

Depending on whether you want the external effects to be on everything or just a single mic input, you connect them to the power amp "insert" or the insert for the mic you want it on.

Looping it out on multiple mics would be tricky, but you could send the units effects into one of the monitor outputs only by selecting a "non-effects" setting in the unit and sending internal effects to one of the monitor outs, and then looping it back into another input to join the mix.

Get an "insert snake" which splits each of two TRS plugs into TWO TS plugs.Plug the TRS ends into the MAIN INSERT jacks and each of the "TIP" plugs at the other end into inpout jacks of the destroyer. Plug the "RING" plugs into the output jacks of the destroyer. You will need a snake with at least two sets of splits. I use a Behringer PROCOM compressor. For those the TRS plugs go into the channel insert jacks and the tips and ring plugs go to the in and out of each channel of the compressor respectively.

There are several issues here... You can connect subs in parallel BUT they need to have a crossover built it otherwise you are sending highs and mids to the subs which won't like it. Properly set up, there should be NO crackling on either channel.Make sure that no clipping is going on, including in the effects. A set of headphones is a GOOD idea when analyzing problems. Twelve inch speakers are pretty marginal for 300 watts... I have used 15's and 10;s on my PMP3000 and PMP5000 units with no problem at REASONABLE sound levels. With 15's we can run at 95 Db which is OSHA limits... My PMP's were beyond repair units and I have repaired them... got a good deal on them. PLEASE read my tip on here about channel A of the PMP mixers. IF you use Speakon to 1/4 inch speaker cables, THE sleeve of Channel A is the "hot", not the tip of the plug. It is easy to get this grounded and kill channel A of your amp. There is NO mention of this in the user documents and I discovered it when repairing the units. Should you get a failure that pops the fuse, DO NOT replace the fuse until the internal damage is repaired. A lot of craclking can come from blown speakers. Swap your sides and make sure the problem is not with a particular speaker. I had a Peavey that was crackling and found the noise was the logo on the grille that was rattling...

Unfortunately the things to look for take a trained eye and some experience. If no lights are coming on, chances are the power supply has damage and probably also one channel of the power amps failed and wiped out the power supply. There aare wo ceraamic stand-up type resistors that are either 10 ohm or 22 ohm and if you find one of those is open, then there are about 10 co,ponents on the board that require replacing. In the power amp module (HCA2400) there is a common area of arcing between layers of the multilayer circuit board in the vicinity of the source lead of the SFP9640 transistors. One can often find a slight buldging of the board in this are signifying the failure. The rework of the HCA2400 takes about $10 of parts and a lot of labor and skill. The power supply filure typically take about $20 of parts and lesser ampunt of labor.
