The complete door is GE part number WB56X10430.
Here's one source that I've done business with, and they say they have it in stock. I checked a few other sites that came back from a Google search, and all the prices were in the $100 to $125 range.
The
Sears parts site has good parts diagrams as well as offering the parts for sale.

Check for faulty door
switches and/or contaminated actuators.
I hope that helps.

That is the worst microwave that you can buy. GE give you 1 year warranty, after that they send you a maintanence plan $50/month. They change mine 3 TIMES during the warranty period, after that works for 6 months and brake again. Always the problem was the KeyPad. The guy that they sent never told me a real reason for that, so I think is manufacturing defect. I put my GE JVM1740DM1BB to the trash.DO NOT BUY GE AGAIN

SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT!
Attempt
this only if you are competent.
If
your appliance has absolutely no functions at all, remove it from the
mains supply, remove the case and see where the mains lead goes in to
the appliance and follow the cable until you find the main fuse.

USE THE SAME TYPE AND RATING OF FUSE TO REPLACE IT.
The usual
cause of this fuse failure is the door switches are contaminated or

Can you put and over-the-counter microwave over a
Yes, that is what they are made for, As long as it has a vent that can be used to vent the smoke from cooking it can be mounted over the stove. Normally the bottom of the microwave should be mounted 16" to 19" above the stove top. The microwave must have a vent with a blower motor in order to be used above a stove top. Most have a thermal switch that will turn the microwave vent on once the temperature reaches a set point.

You can find and order them easily by entering your full model number from the tag in or on the unit and also find helpful exploded view diagrams here.
Also, your owner's manual should cover that, and they usually have the GE part number inside. You can download them here.
Note that these are likely halogen bulbs, so do not handle them with bare skin. The oils on the skin will reduce their service life.
If after replacing the bulbs, they still won't work, won't shut off, or you have trouble with the fan or turntable, the filaments may have shorted, causing a surge which damaged your control circuit board.

This light failure often
occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament
shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first

Need help to remove ge space maker. can you
Hi,
There is a bracket on the back that the microwave clips into. If you just remove the screws out of the top holding the microwave onto the cabinet, then tip the microwave forward at a 45 degree angle. Next, pick straight up on the microwave and it will unclip from the back. Pull the microwave forward and set it down somewhere.
For Few Old Models, the Procedure could be :-
There are no lag bolts going thru the cabinet above. The microwave is suspended by what appears to be a three sided case or sleeve. Three sides= top and both left and right sides. I can see in the front the that suspension sleeve is connected to the cabinet with wood screws (at least on the top, under the cabinet. I can only see two such wood screws with the microwave installed. It appears that the microwave slides in on rails and clipped in place with spring clips. The rails look pretty flimsy and I suspect that there is another mounting attachment somewhere out of sight. Most of the left (as I face it) side is obscurred by exhaust vent motor and vent.
This is an old GE SpaceSaver microwave. No data plate is visible anywhere inside or outside the microwave.
Let me know, if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Not likely it's the touch buttons wearing out you can buy the tocuh pad and replace it it's not that expensive, go to
www.appliancepros.com and find your model and look at the parts list and find your part, they have a break down of the parts assembly.
No power. outlets is fine. please help. thanx
This will occur if the inverter has experienced a surge or, if the cut off fuse has blown. you can check the cut-off fuse by removing the cover. it is located near the magnetron tube. replace it if it is blown. if the fuse is ok, this will confirm inverter failure. replace the inverter in this case.
