When I enter the cooking

From the description the problem is in one of the door switches, usually caused by food partical build up, or ware. Each switch will need to be disconnected and tested.

Newly installed GE profile pem31 microwave starts

hello,
this is a simple function that you should be able to carry out your self
from the statement above this means that your oven maize have disconnect from the element position i.e the wire have been disconnected from the heater

what you need to do is that unscrew your microwave trace the wire to the heater you will surely fine were the wire is been disconnected from the heater
then you have to huck up the wire back to the element (heater) the wire mention above will be in red and others can be in different color

please when doing make sure that all form of power supply is disconnect from the microwave to avoid accident

GE Spacemaker II START button

hello,

for the button of the oven not to function here are likely problem that most have contributed to the problem below

Problem: No response to any buttons on touch pad.
Possible causes:
  1. Door is not closed (some models).
  2. You waited to long (open and close door to wake it up).
  3. Controller is confused (pull plug for a minute or two to reset).
  4. Defective interlock switches.
  5. Faulty controller or its power supply.
  6. Touchpad or controller board contaminated by overenthusiastic cleaning.
  7. Defective/damaged touchpad.

Have a GE "Spacemaker II Sensor" microwave oven.

you will need to find the source of the burning. it could be a cheap fix or more involved depending on the component. it could be a transformer, h.v.diode, magnetron, etc. if the diode is shorted, there is a good chance magnetron is defective too.

Microwave buzzes and does not work

In all likelihood the mangnetron has failed, or perhaps even the Power Supply. or a fault that is shutting the system down for safety reasons You need to have it serviced by a reputable service centre/man. Ensure you get a firm "Quote" before proceeding, and remember these days the cost of repair can equal or exceed the price of a new one.
