Insignia 600W Bridgeable Amplifier with 12" Subwoofer Questions & Answers
My red light on my amp is on and wont go out
Unfortunately I think you need to get it repaired or replaced .When a protection light will not turn off it is generally caused by an internal short and needs one or more replacement parts for it to come alive again.

Protection light
Disconnect one speaker at the time (at the amp) until the protection light goes out, then you know where the problem is.
If your sub is a dual coil wired in parallel and you run it with the
amp in bridged mode the impedance will be too low for many amps, seeing
it as a short. Then wire the dual coils in series instead or run the coils on one channel each.
I've also seen coils in speakers melt and short out partially, causing too low resistance as seen by the amp.
Good luck!
I have 2 10" alpine
This can be done but the 2 amps will have to be identical and their gain set the same. Bridging on an amp works on this principal. A far safer method of getting more power out of your system is one amp per speaker, so in your case adding another sub along with the Insignia.
So everything is on and i can hear the amp running
First ceck yor ground. it should be grounded directly to the frame andto clean bare metal. sedonc check your wires to make sure nothing is chaffed and grounded out. after that you can check yur subs to make sure the ohm load is safe for your amp..let me know if theres anyting else to help out!
What can happen to the 600 watt insignia
you could of shorted something out inside the amp causig there to be no output, the easiest way todo that would be if the power wire grounded out after the fuse while i was hooked to the amp. also its possible the ohm load was toolow for the amp to handle. and mst amps are repairable its just how much are you willing to spend. hope this helps
Theres a red light on the amp instead of the green

2 12" subs + 600W amp. Turn on, goes boom once, then red light
Is your gain all the way up? If it done this before, sounds like your over working the amp. Make sure your subs ohm load is capable with the amp load to. If they are 1 ohm and your amp is only 2 ohm stable, it would beat for a lil bit then go into protection mode to. Check your wires too.
When I turn the car on the amp goes into protect m...
A few things can be happening, the amp has a short somewhere, the amp is defective, or it may have a connection problem, wires connected the wrong way, but it is most likely a short somewhere, trace the power wire from the battery to the amp 12V+ connector and see if there is a short or if the wire is pinched, another way to find out is to get a test light, find a power source somehwere ( 12V+ ) and place the test light tip on the amps 12V+ connecter, thats the easier way if you are too lazy to trace, lol. If the test light lights up then you have the power wire grounded and you need to find out where and correct it., Also check the amp turn on wire it may be grounded or shorted as well. If this your solution please remember to vote and rate me.
Good luck my friend.

Sub stopped working, unless i push on it?
sounds like maybe the wiring from the cone to the magnet is ripped or broken.... which is why when you push the cone in it works because it pushes it far enough to make the wires touch just barely, but when you let it go the wires seperate and you get no sound.
Your wire is built with slack, so when the cone goes in and out during a song, the wire can move with it and not get broken. but when you cone moves too in or too far out, then that wire can snap or become disconnected.
I have fixed this by soldering the copper wire, but you may lose some power because your copper wire might be a bit shorter(it will probly break again)... or you can lengthen it, but it is not easy to solder... some places will fix it for you but the cost may be more than what it is worth.
This is just a guess, take your speaker outta the box, and look to see if these wires are broken, lose, or frayed.
good luck.
Red amp light
some parts are damaged ,maybe audio amplifiers IC´s or power fet´s
