The fan on my Vaio vgn cr220e is not working..

You can try to blow compressed air on it first. Dust might have accumulated that's why its not working. If that fails, you may want to contact your computer manufacturer for repair/depot service. Depending on your unit, it may be possible just to replace only the fan.

I have a sony laptop . it used to get switched off

The sudden turn off is a protection that it is supposed to do when the CPU gets to the max allowed temperature...if you changed the heat dispenser and the cooler..the next thing to do is to get an external cooler for laptops..its the only way that you may use it for long perods of time without problems ...The issue is probably the zone that you live on ...(probably a warm place ) ..and the way you use it ...cause they are made to not do that in normal conditions ..
Another thing to check is the settings in BIOS ..just get into the bios and select the factory optimal defaults ...and after that confirm choice and save the changes with F10 ...and enter to confirm and exit..
This will make sure that you do not have a lower level of temperature set as maximum allowed for the CPU..
This is a link for some kinda device I mentioned..(external cooler..)

How to solve usb not reconized error in sony

Hello

Disconnect the flash drive from your computer, then plug it into a different USB port. On occasion some USB ports do not detect inserted equipment (either because the port is damaged or because the flash drive is not supported by the particular connection).

Connect the flash drive after the computer has powered on. If you plug the drive into the computer before starting the system, the computer may not detect the USB device.

Open an Internet browser and navigate to the drive manufacturer's website. Although most USB flash drives are plug-n-play, the computer may not have the appropriate drivers installed, which means you must install the driver before the system can use the flash drive.

Select the "Support" option, then choose "Drivers and Downloads". Click on the model of flash drive you are using, then the operating system. Click on the driver download link and wait for the driver to download to the computer. Double-click the downloaded file to load the installation wizard. Accept the license agreement, then follow the prompts to install the driver. Restart the computer and the system is ready to use the USB flash drive.

My Sony Viao wont stay charged and when i try to

Are you using a Sony Battery or an aftermarket cheaper version?
If your battery has been changed to a different brand then thats your problem and a whole problem in itself. Not saying there is anything wrong with that, but the Sony ISBmngr.exe file will stop the charging of any battery exept Sony's and put the system into hibernation mode. ( website with Info below)....
If you have the original manufacturers battery then go on.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the typical charging-plug, jack, for laptops. Many times the plug itself is bumped over time and pushes on the pin in the center. The charging time becomes very short, if at all, because the connection is broken. Some are completely or because of the position of the wire holding it just right long enough to give a short charge.

32917b9.png With a Voltmeter ,check the output of the charger itself to be sure it is working properly.
Although VIAO has been out for a while & because the model was not listed here the age of the battery may also be in question. If the battery has shorted out and the charging unit & jack are fine then a bad battery that has shorted will cause you symptoms also. Try removing the battery and running on the charger alone.
Here are a couple of sites that I found that deal with Sony VIAO's

It doesn't start or show the window program. when

The system is not recognizing your hard drive- Here's how you can see if you need to call Sony/Geeksquad. Check if you have any USB drives in your system- if so, remove them. Try rebooting. If that works- the issue was your system was trying to boot off of the thumb drive. If it doesn't work- try and see if there is a drive sticking out from your laptop- usually on the right side, and towards the bottom- slide it in if so. If not- your hard drive may have failed, or the motherboard controller for your hard drive has failed. Contact the people that have your system in warranty- if it is not in warranty, you can purchase a replacement drive to see if the issue was just the drive itself. Unfortunately, if it is the motherboard, and you are out of warranty- you may rather purchase a new laptop. Laptop motherboard replacements generally run in the 300+ range- I've known Dell to charge 500-900 for their out of warranty repairs. Thanks ...but I have tried

You don't need your recovery disk to fix that, a simple XP install disk will do just fine - borrow one from a friend.
f you get 7 then - to prevent the problem from reappearing - you must do a full fresh install. But you will lose all your files and programs this way.

Vaio VGN-CR35 laptop not booting

This could be a sign that your laptop is overheating. If you touch the laptop while it is running & you find it too hot, make sure that the fan is running properly & that the air ways are not blocked.
You can blow compressed air into the cooling vents of the fan. If you notice clouds of dust coming out, then it might be a good idea to disassemble the laptop, clean the fan & air ways, & reassemble it back. If the fan has failed & is no longer running, it might need to be replaced.

If none of this solves the problem, or is not the case, then you might have a bad motherboard.
