Did you try to change the date? either on the camera or on the computer... it might be that otherwise data won't get recognized if the date range is too far out. If you really deleted it from the card, I am afraid it's really gone. If you look at the card via "My computer" and do a detailed file list with details and dates, you might still find the missing data. Good luck.

All K, KA, KAF, KAF2 mount lens should work on your camera. If the lens is manual focus than you set from the camera closest lens value upon turning on the camera (like 50, 100 etc).

Try using a different SD memory card. You can also try formatting your memory card, BUT that will delete everything stored on your memory card.

Repairing the camera is little bit tough for a end user but it can be repaired in any service center as it is a Pentax k10D I will recommend you to keep this camera because this days getting a Japan made camera is as tough as getting water in desert.

Go in setting option and select your battery type from there. After that restart you camera if you face the same problem then visit service center. THe power transfer IC may be not so powerfull , need to change.

No...Pentax recommends turning the SR off.

In the custom settings there is a setting to disable this function, the camera will give a message on the LCD there is no card installedafter this is changed.

The picture displays after the file has finished saving - if the speed of your SD card is slow, it can take quite a while before the picture is displayed. It also takes a while (up to a minute or more) if the shutter speed is low and the picture is mostly black (taking nighttime moon shots for instance). Try using a better quality (higher speed) SD card.

Your old Pentax lenses uses the Pentax K mount. The current Pentax digital SLRs all use the same K mount so the lenses will fit on them. You obviously won't get all the features available on new lenses, such as autofocus, but they should all work fine.
