From the JVC manual "This camcorder can transfer still images to a PC via USB". There is no mention of video transfer via USB so it seems it is not supported.

Put the camcorder in a warm dry place for a few hours, there is moisture inside the unit, that triggers the humidity sensor and shuts the camera off. If after drying the camcorder for a reasonable time it still will not function you will need to get it repaired.

This is often referred to as DEW and is a sensor inside the camera that detects moisture. You can hasten the removal most times by warming the camera with a hairdryer on medium setting and not too close to the plastic case. When you store the camera store it with a few of those little bags of silicone crystals that come in many packages that we just throw away.



1- Turn off the cammera.

2- Unplug the AC/DC Cable from the wall

3- Take off the Battery

4- Open the Tape holder.

5- Hold a portable light bulb around 60Wats (turned on of course) nearby the tape holder like for 10 or 15 min. to warm it up.

PS: If you play any tape and the picture looks like damaged, it might be because it's not dry enough, so repeat the step 5 to finish.

From page 5 of the user manual, I see that the part numbers for the power supplies that work with this camera are AP-V11U or AP-V13U.
Searching Google, I find it available from JVC for $36.23
I saw that these power supplies have been selling for less elsewhere on the Internet. Just Google search either model number above to see the best deals.

Many possible causes, mostly coming from the tape. I hope tape is still can be ejected, try to change with a new one. If still persist, something wrong inside could be a belt or the capstan gear broken. If you know how to open your next problem is the spare parts. Good Luck!

Its supposed to be 7.2V output battery. Camcorder may have gone into protect mode? Did you test the IC that has the camcorder battery pins to see if its already fried?

Hi,
It sounds video head got dirty/ clogged and requires cleaning.
Put video head cleaning tape in camcorder and clean video head as per instructions written on that tape.
After head cleaning, put old recorded tape to check playback.
If still no picture, put cleaning tape again and clean video head until camcorder start showing picture in playback.

Try by inserting another battery, If problem persist then there is a problem in your battery mechanism get it serviced.....
And if problem solved by another battery, Then your new battery is faulty, get it replaced......
