Bosch 3.81 cu ft WFMC530 1UC Nexxt 500 Plus Series Washer - Page 8 Questions & Answers
The water won't drain from my Bosch Nexxt 500
I solved the problem by using a sump pump to drain most of the water, then I removed the cover plate on the lower front right of the machine to get access to the drain plug. Upon removing that, some water flowed out but not too much, I found a sock jammed in there which wasn't allowing the drain or spin cycle to work properly.
Interestingly, the machine's manual says that the cover plate is only to be removed by a Bosch authorized service repair representative. Saved about $150 by simply doing this myself.
Water leaking from electric valve to hot water.
Check the solenoids at the water inlet valve. They can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity indicates a faulty solenoid and the water inlet valve assy will need replaced. I will attach a photo for reference. Hope this helped and best wishes.

My washer has E:13 on the display. I called Bosch
According to the service manual, you should clean water drainage pipe and/or drain hose. Turn selector to off and restart 'drain, program or, on 500 plus machines, the 'refresh' program. It also says this is caused by using too much detergent. Bosch recommends using half of what the manufacturer recommends when using HE detergents. They don't recommend regular detergents. I would run the short wash or refresh cycle without detergent and hopefully your lines will clear. I have also read that if this persists, powder HE detergent is better to use instead of the liquid because of certain chemicals contained in the liquids that cause it to congeal in some front loader drainage pipes. I hope this helps.

Hi,
Please provide some breif description of your issue so that we can assist you better.
Thank You
I used the cold cycle selection but I noticed that
Check to see if hoses aren't reversed. Do you have an electronic temp-aaure on the unit as this could be bad as well. Also, check to make sure the valve is O'k as you could have a bad inlet valve assembly
Bosch Nexxt 500 is on rinse cycle, won't drain the water or spin
Hi
I would check two things that might cause this problem .
1. there is small palstic capsule that comes out from the tank and has thin rubber pipe that goes to the electric tap. the purpuse of the tube is to send signale to the tap to close the water , actually the tap has a sensor that sence the change in presure when the water tank is filled . check this capsule and make sure that its clean.
2.looks like the cycle of washing hasn't started or started but hasn't pass the stage of heating the water . that means there is some problem with the heater that lies in the buttom of the tank . make sure all wires attached properly .
try run whashing program of cold water .
consider replacing the heater .
hope it helps
goodluck

E01 error, which mean that the door is not latching properly.
Resolve it by holding the door for a few seconds while the wash cycle starts, it this work means it's sure a door latch problem.
Post further comments for more information.
Good Luck!!
Thanks
Gasget came off the washer and i can't get it back on
I have the perfect solution the placing of the Retaining Spring back on the Bosch Nexxt 500 Door Gasket. It only took me only 5 Minutes after fighting with it for hours and getting nowhere. What I did was purchase a set of 12 inch hemostats (long Clamping Pliers). The ends of the Hemostats I wrapped both of the jaws with Electrical tape to prevent the Spring on the retainer from sliding up the jaws of the hemostat. When the ends of the retainer are placed on the ends of the jaws and the hemostat opened the spring is stretched. I found that If you use your knee to hold the hemostat open while placing the retainer in the groove of the gasket you can slowly release the springs and set the retainer back into the gasket without the gasket pulling off the tabs.
We are not getting a
Hi
Please tell me if there was any error code that appeared on your washer when this happened. Also tell me if its noisy or flashes an error code.
If you have disassembled your washer previously then i'll suggest you to check the door latch.
Please do accept this solution and revert for further assistance.
Thanks

The display shows "E:" with no number.
With my machine it was the case of putting too much detergent in the machine. Oversudsing. So in the from of my machine on the lower right hand bottom corner, there was a round plate with a little hole in it. I put a small screwdriver in it and turned the plate and removed it. There was a piece of plastic hanging down, pull on it and try to open the door. It seemed to work better if you tried to open the door from the bottom. Once open, remove all clothes and run 1 cycle without anything. I also poured hot water down the detergent area to clean it out. If the clothes are wet, then put only a few in there and run them thru. Basically, these machines should use detergent that have the HD mark on them, and only about 2 tablespoons of detergent for a full load. Hope this helps...
Taking to long to wash
hi,sounds like its eiher taking too long to fill with water(tap not fully open) or the waste pipe is too low down.needs to go up and then down.but if too low the machine will just fill then empty constantly. neil
Can't get locked door open
For the door locking problem, on several of the Bosch washers, there is a round plate at the front bottom with a hole in it. One can place a thin phillips screw driver or some thing that goes in and turn the plate while pressing the plastic latch behind the hole to open the plate.
There is a mecahnical door lock release mechanism you can see or reach inside. Open the washer door while pulling on that. You can atleast get to your clothes inside.
There is a filter/drain mechanism inside this area. The manual and the postings here suggest a few more things you can do further to remove junk/blockages in this, but that is a messy job.

Make sure it is the fabric softener that is not being added. Try running w/o fabric softener and see if the tray is still full. The reason I am asking is that after I run my washer the fabric softener tray is full, with water, not softener. The factory tells me it is because the water fill nozzles have realigned and overspray into the softener tray. Not a big problem, since my system is under warranty I am having them fix the nozzles and then I will know how to redirect.
If it is the softener that is not being added then check to make sure the line is not clogged. You can lift out the bleach / softener try and check for cloggs.
