Thermador oven sc272t f-c code
I have a F-C code
Hello, welcome to FixYa.
Based on your post I understand you have an error "FC" on your Thermador SC272 wall oven, correct ?
There are two common scenarios with these Thermador wall ovens fitting what you've described. Either the lower oven control board has failed or there is a communication error between the control board and the display.
Here is an exert from my Thermador service documents explaining in their terms...(hopefully it won't get partially cut-off when I click "submit" as it sometimes does with attachments, that's out of my control unfortunately).
In either scenario I'd suggest calling in an authorized B/S/H/ (Thermador/Bosch/Gaggenau) service technician since it is pretty involved to trace and possibly replace (hopefully not) any failed/faulty component on these units.
Hope this helps move you forward. Let me know if I can assist you further and good luck.
Regards,
Macmarkus :)
Thermador PRG364EDH/08 Oven will not ignite.
The oven safety valve
(also called the gas valve) is the part that ensures that gas is not released until the igniter has reached the correct temperature needed to ignite the gas. While this part can fail, it is uncommon. If the hot surface igniter does not glow you should first verify that you have voltage to the circuit. This is a live voltage check and should be performed by a qualified person. If voltage is lost at the valve terminals then you should verify the continuity of the bi-metal in the valve using a multi-meter.
The oven burner igniter
commonly known as the hot surface igniter is used in modern gas oven burners to open the gas valve and to ignite the gas. As the igniter draws electric current it will heat to a high temperature and glow, as well as cause the bi-metal in the oven safety valve to warp and open the valve releasing the gas to be ignited. This sequence normally takes about a minute. Igniters come in both flat and round styles and are very fragile. If the burner does not light then you should check the igniter first. If the igniter does not glow at all, then check for power to the circuit. This is a live voltage check and should be performed by a qualified person. If power is present then the igniter may be open circuit and can be checked for continuity with a multi-meter.
If the igniter is glowing, but the burner is not lighting, the igniter may be weak and still be at fault because it requires a certain amount of current draw to open the valve. This check requires the use of an amp meter and should be performed by a qualified person. If the igniter is defective then it must be replaced.

What does f24 mean?
Clean the control panel of all residue. Make sure the door closes properly. If it continues, chances are you will need to replace the touch pad and relay board.
Noise when oven running and stops when oven stops
Is it a convectional oven? If so, this is the fan turning on to circulate the heat. Being an electric oven, there really shouldn't be any noise whats so ever when on. I suspect your have a convectional oven and the fan is making the noise...either because it is working fine...or because its not and needs to be replaced.
Oven won't start
Try pushing the "convection oven" or "bake" button first, then enter the temperature you want. Then "Start".
We are experiencing an F7
The f7 code is the error for the controller board. I believe it is a bad rom checksum error. You will need to talk to a service shop about replacing the board or the rom. Most places will only be able to replace the entire board.
Contact any local appliance repair shops and they should be able to help you out or direct you towards someone locally who can. This can be done by yourself if you are comfortable with basic hand tools. If not a service tech should be able to quickly change it out.
I have a Thermador SC272T double oven with a dead
Hi tlaffler,
If you're experiencing dead display, it is often caused by a dried up and leaked capacitor causing the display to fail. You can check the capacitors if they were good by unsoldering and test the continuity using a digital multimeter. If you can't do it yourself, I recommend to contact an authorized repairman to prevent further damage on the unit.
Hope it helps.

Thermador double oven / Bake wont work /FC code flashed once
I found I have this exact problem. Same bake preheat issue: I can bake if I set broil first. However, the oven doesn't work if I press bake first. The control board has already been replaced a couple times over the years. Is this another replacement??
After self cleaning my Thermador double oven, it
Never use Self-Cleaning!!! It will fry components, melt connectors, and burn wires. If you have violated this rule and an oven no longer works, it is probably not a bad element if neither the bake nor the broil work. It is likely the high heat cut out breaker.
On a Thermador CT 227 double oven, there is a panel on the right side (facing the unit) that is about 3 inches wide and runs from top to bottom held in place by about 6 or 8 screws. Turn off the power, slide the unit out of the kitchen cabinet, remove the sheet metal panel and you will see two high heat cut out breakers. They have a small red button in the center that resets the breaker. Push firmly and you should hear a click. If there is no click, check the unit for continuity. If it is open and the button push does not reset it, the unit may be fried. These breakers trip with high heat and will prevent both elements in an oven from heating. If the breaker is good, you'll have to test the leads to each element and then trace the dead lead to the problem.
Thermador SC272TS (1998) Double Oven. Bottom oven
Usually it is the thermostat that causes both the boil or bake not to work. If it was one or the other it would be a different problem. But the thermostat is telling the controller that the temp is already to high. And will not let the elements heat up.
Hello! I have a
Hello, Per my manual:
F7 - This is caused by close contact to the control panel for more then 32 seconds, such as someone leaning against the controls or objects hanging in front of controls.
F-1 - Touch OFF or turn power off at the circuit breaker, wait 3 minutes and turn it back on. If condition persists, note the code number and call an authorized servicer.
Hope this helps,
Vicki
