Issue with full PC restore on Vista ASUS G1 notebook
Where is the backup stored? Most OEM backups of the OS write to a partition on the hard drive, if you did a recovery with the DVD it may have overwritten the recovery partition, hence why the option is not available.

ASUS G1 WILL NOT POWER UP
Computer does not boot up The problem maybe the RAM, it could be faulty or just needs reseating to make proper electrical contact. Reseat the RAM and then boot up your laptop. If it still does not boot up then remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test the RAM for you. Just like you sometimes need a mechanic to repair your car, sometimes you do need a technician to diagnose and identify the fault or faults on your computer. Not only does a good service technican have the experience to deal with this type of problem, they also have the equipment that allows them to look at things the average computer user can't see, and he has a collection of replacement parts that can be used to quickly test individual components on your computer.
Help with reboot message for Asus G1 notebook.
Sounds like its trying to boot from the Optical drive (cd/dvd drive) thats empty or has no disc in it. You will need to get into the BIOS and change the boot sequence. Select HDDR 1st to boot from your C: drive where your OS is.

In case of your laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper.

My PC does not start up. can start up in safe mode
Start in safe mode and In "control panel->system->hardware->device manager" disable attached devices one by one until the computer boots bormally. Disable, for example, CD or DVD drive, any plug in cards, WiFi, sound card, camera and so on, until you solve the problem.
What printers are compatible with the ASUS G1
While I have never heard of a printer being incompatible with a specific laptop model, I have heard of geek squad giving bad advice. This situation would be the latter. If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7 there are some older model printers that may not work up front, but right clicking on the software and selecting properties>>compatibility>>and selecting Windows XP from the dropdown list might help. Also going to the manufacturer website (HP, etc) to find updated drivers for the specific model printer and for your specific operating system may help you out as well. More often than not with Windows 7 simply running windows update will find the drivers you need, as long as you have everything selected to show up in updates and not just the important ones.

The computer can't hibernate when conected with
1st, I would turn off the screen saver and make sure it's not interfering.
2nd, would see if there where any updates on your manufacturers site for any hardware in your computer.
3rd, I would go into msconfig and disable all startup items, restart computer and see if that helps and maybe something running in the background is interfering
Please let me know if any of that makes a difference.
HAI I FORGET MY BIOS PASSWORDE PLZ HELP ME
Hmm...you might try opening up your laptop (or have someone do it for you if you don't feel comfortable doing this) and taking out the CMOS battery for a couple of minutes. This should reset the BIOS password.
