24 key for Office

from the information supplied, and being a Toshiba owner, new units are shipped with a trial version of MS Office. When the key ID numbers are requested you have exhausted the amount of time you can use the program contents for free. Now you must register/buy the product. If you purchased the retail version-the key is on the bck of the sleeve the CD/DVD came in.

I have probles.

If you have a start up message "click f2 for settings"
try to click on that but you need to be fast with that.
That's a Bios system and take a look whats enabled whats disabled.click on disable link and try enable it but if you have more questions email me on [email protected] to figure out together cause I have done that by myself.
You need to restart your computer again and should be good and ready for installation.
Good luck!

I've been using two monitors

If you actively set Restore Points.. You can attempt to fix by restoring to a previous date..
Also Check Device Manager to See if any errors are in there..

Touch Pad

Looks like you need to get a replacement touchpad. If its still under warranty then you can avail it to get a new touchpad. Otherwise you will have to shell out around 100$

Webcam

Hi

Check your computer for any programs that may be using your web cam.

For Example Photo Software Video Software

You may need to remove the drives and software for the Web Cam and then reboot and re install the software. This should fix the problem.

Let me know if you need more help.

Toshiba p205-s6237

Hi

I would boot into Safe Mode and run this utility to check your registry and startup.

http://www.download.com/Startup-Inspector-for-Windows/3000-2086_4-10291346.html?cdlPid=10452094

OR

You can try the original OS cd and repair the installation of the OS.

Last Resort

If that does not work then see if you can roll your computer back to a date prior to the problem starting.

Shuts down

A Vista Upgrade from XP could cause problems, and even the one you describe, but not an "update" usually. But then again, if when it shuts itself down, if you have to press the power button twice to get it to start back up, I would say that the processor is overheating (in which case the system does this to keep from frying the CPU). If that's the case, a cleaning of the fan and heat sync could fix the problem. You could also run temperature monitoring software (plenty are available for free trials).
As always more detailed information on this issue you are having would help.
Good luck.
