My eveaperator is clogged. How do I unclogg it?
Hi, if your indoor evaporator coil is clogged with dirt, you need to remove the cover to expose it first. Shut it of and use a spray bottle with good hot water and a plastic type of brush, and spray it as you brush down in the direction of the fins on the coil. The water should drain away to the out side drain holes or hose which ever you may have. Make sure you have a filter there to prevent this from getting dirty. If you don't have one, you can buy a small roll of foam type filter material and cut a piece to fit. Please don't forget to rate me on this as I know you will be kind. I will check back in on you to see how it is going as I keep you and all others on file for future use, and you can contact me also.

What type of freon dose ptac use
These are hermetically sealed units and you are unable to recharge them without using a piercing valve. If you are able to do this they normally take r-22 freon, but you need to be EPA certified to purchase it.
Not blowing warm air.
you should probebly have a technician ;look at your unit . if its a heat pump the reversing valve may not be owrking correctly. Also if it is not a hp then the electric heaters may have a bad sequencer and or limit that is not operating properly. Either way the quickest way to get it up and runing would be to call a technician out to repair it. Have a Merry Christmas!
Cold air
is it a heat pump or straight electric heat??
I'm not getting any code after installing a control board for my Amana ptac?
Does the power light come on?
If yes, then you can do a reset as below:
There is a master switch on the bottom left of the control board. Slide that to 'off' position.
Then press the hot and cold switch/key together and then slide the master switch back to 'on'.
Please put your response/observation here if that does not work or there is power light as asked on top.
Thanks

i'm not familiar with your specific unit but ..sounds like an electronic gas value has gone bad or has a bad connection when that happened to my friend it wasn't that expensive to have it fixed .. BYW it acted like this for a while then stopped working completely
