Hi, my Panasonic Lumix DMS-TZ2 is making horizontal lines over the pictures that I take. What is the cause of that?

Not sure it is on every picture you take, but digital cameras doe have problems with bright lights in a dark environment. From such a light bright lines can go horizontal. If in normal light, your camera does not have the problem, I guess you now have an explanation.

Can't get images in clipboard off camera

In the "playback" menu, go to "copy" and select a direction (from internal memory to memory card) and click "yes" when it asks you if that's what you want to do. Once they're on your memory card you can transfer them to your computer using your camera and a USB cord or a separate card reader.

Panasonic lumix tz8 takes white photos

Some symptoms of a defective CCD include distorted images or abnormal colors, scratchy purple lines, blank or black pictures, and/or black videos with good sound being recorded on the camera's flash card.A CCD problem would explain the lines on your pictures and the lines on the LCD (since the CCD is used to feed the live image). CCD (Charge Coupled Device) is one of the two main types of image sensors used in digital cameras. When a picture is taken, the CCD is struck by light coming through the camera's lens. Each of the thousands or millions of tiny pixels that make up the CCD convert this light into electrons. The number of electrons, usually described as the pixel's accumulated charge, is measured, then converted to a digital value. This last step occurs outside the CCD, in a camera component called an analog-to-digital converter. In order to correct this issue, the repair facility needs to replace the CCD. This is not something you may do on your own; check this article for additional details:Bad CCDs. This, isn't a good new, but hope helps to solve it.Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

I have a DMC-TZ2 that

You cannot fix this yourself as the sensor has failed.

If the camera is under warranty send it back for repair. If it isn't then write a firmly worded but polite demand to Panasonic anyway demanding a goodwill repair. The sensor is only about four years old and has certainly failed prematurely and there are now plenty of precedents in the digital camera industry for putting such faults right out of warranty.

Unfortunately this is and will remain a common fault with all digital cameras. Sensors can fail at any time from the day of manufacture, but on average should last an absolute minimum of five years.
