Sounds like you haven't pushed the cartridge completely into the slot. But watch you don't use too much force! ;P

it maybe an issue caused by a general error which probably needs hardware replacement. but you can try to resolve this by doing an inkpad reset. go to this site www.epson.com/ipr, fill out the needed things there and install it to your pc. just follow the wizard and hopefully it would reset the firmware but if it does not work. you might need to have that printer serviced.

If paper doesn't feed, remove it from the
sheet feeder. Reload it against the right edge, behind the tabs, then
slide the left edge guide against the paper. Make sure the paper is not
in front of the feeder guard.
If multiple pages feed at once, remove the paper from the sheet feeder, fan the edges to separate the sheets, then reload it. Don't load too
many sheets at once (up to 20 sheets of photo paper, 80 sheets of
Premium Bright White paper, or 100 sheets of plain paper).
I have just replaced all 4 ink cartridges, but
This can happen to cartridges with attached print heads. All cartridges are weighed and tested before leaving the factory so lack of ink isn't the problem. It usually has to do with the print head of the cartridge not having any ink to feed it. This happens because cartridges are kept flat or upside down for weeks or months before being used and the ink settles away from the print head. The easiest remedy is to open the box and stand the cartridge upright for a few minutes before using. Then get a damp paper towel, fold it into quarters and sit the cartridge print head down onto it. Hold the cartridge down to the damp paper towel for three minutes. This will help pull the ink out of the print heads, priming them and getting them ready to print. Finally, install the cartridge into your printer and print a few test pages.

Paper won't feed into printer
I have taken a piece of cardboard, like the ones you get with a new shirt, size it to 8.5 x 11, and tell the printer to print a test page. hand feed the cardboard thru, and most times it will clean out the residual paper pieces stuck in the internal rollers. I have used this method several times and was successful 99% of the time. It isn't rocket science, but It may work. You will probably have to push the cardboard thru, but do not force it to much. It will not go thru easily on its own. Just a suggestion.
Epson 3810 goes from printing perfect to characters/wingdings
My Epson 3810 does not print proberly from the Internet. It prints but only prints out what appears to be the computer language being sent to it. All other applications print fine. Just items from Internet explorer are having the issues. Any suggestions?
