If you've ever had a print job hang, you're probably familiar with the Windows Print Spooler window. You get to this window simply by selecting the relevant printer from the Control Panel's Printers and Faxes applet (simply Printers in Vista). In the somewhat unusual event of a printer queue jam, you can go to the Print Spooler and simply delete the job. Sometimes, though, the system won't let you cut off print jobs that way: It marks the job "Deleting..." but never quite gets there, and you end up rebooting. But there's an easier way.
Open a command prompt (go to Start ' Run, then type cmd) and enter the following:
net stop spooler
del c:\windows\system32\spool\printers\*.shd
del c:\windows\system32\spool\printers\*.spl
net start spooler
In Vista you'll need to open an elevated command prompt by right-clicking on cmd.exe and selecting Run as Administrator. For those of you who remember batch files, use Notepad to save the four commands above as a batch file. I've named mine Killqueue.bat.

I cannot figure out how to tell printer to print

You don't say what operating system you are using, but if it's Windows you should see a dialog box when you send something to print. Depending on the version of Windows you will see various tabs on the dialog box, probably marked 'Properties' or something similar. Select that tab and change the setting for colour printing.
If you would like more detailed help please advise what operating system and version you are using.

Problem very unresponsive and I have installed new

make sure its clicked in properly and the door is shut. When you hear it moving or cleaning as some people say then it should be working if not try running a test paper. I hope this helps.

1. Assurez-vous que vos pilotes d'imprimante sont install?s.
2. Cliquez sur D?marrer-> Panneau de configuration, et d'ouvrir le Gestionnaire de p?riph?riques Syst?me->.
3. Assurez-vous que l'imprimante est connect?e ? l'ordinateur, et qu'il est branch? sur une prise murale qui fonctionne. Allumez-le.
4. Gestionnaire de p?riph?riques Watch, pour voir si elle change / ajoute votre nouvelle imprimante. Si c'est le cas, faites attention ? l'indicateur de p?riph?riques (si l'?l?ment est un code de couleur jaune), et un clic droit sur elle-> choisissez Propri?t?s pour v?rifier l'?tat du p?riph?rique. Il devrait vous donner de plus amples informations s'il ya des probl?mes.
5. Si le Gestionnaire de p?riph?riques ne d?tecte pas l'imprimante, essayez un autre c?ble USB. Si ce c?ble ne fonctionne pas, vous devrez contacter le fabricant de votre imprimante pour le service, que l'imprimante peut ?tre bris?e.

Why is my printer printing very light?

Either its bad ink cartridges, they are running out of ink.
Check your printing preferences on the control panel of windows. Make sure its not set to draft mode or economy mode. That will make you use less ink hense making it look less dark.

Printer won't print, it says

Welcome to Fixya

Try to reset the printer to factory defaults.

Turn off the printer power.
Disconnect the printer power brick and wait for 10 seconds.
While holding down the Start and Cancel buttons, re-insert the printer power brick.
Hold the Start and Cancel buttons until the power LED begins blinking and the printer shuts itself off.
Turn on the printer power.
The printer will be in the initial setup mode and you will need to choose a language, country, and enter the date.

I have a dell 926 all in one printer. All of the

  1. When connected by a USB cable, reseat both ends of the cable going from the computer to the printer.


  2. When connected to a wired or wireless network, make sure the network is working correctly and that the printer is connected to the network.(to make sure the printer is on the network, print a network set up page, for more information on how refer to the user's guide, refer to the Downloading and Viewing Printer Manuals section for information on how to download and view the user's guide).


  3. Restart the computer.


  4. Turn the printer off.


  5. Unplug the printer power cord from the A/C outlet or surge protector and wait at least 30 seconds.


  6. Plug the printer power cord back into the A/C outlet or surge protector.


  7. Turn the printer back on.


  8. Make sure the desired printer is set as the default printer.
    • For instructions on how to check which printer is set as the default and change it if needed, Click Hereextlink.gif


  9. Print a test page.
    • For instructions on how to print a test page from Windows, Click Hereextlink.gif


  10. Run the automated printer fix available from Microsoft.

I am trying to scan pics to my computer it was

I would say that you need to reinstall your software. Your pc is not finding the scanning software. Sometimes programs become degraded over time. You should also :
Right click on my computer>select properties>device manager>scroll until you find your dell 926, then right click on it and click on install new driver> choose the option to find driver on my compter. You may not need it, but you might.

First and foremost, call Dell to make sure that your printer is not still under warranty. If it is out of warranty, then follow steps below:

A: What is happening is the feeder is either clogged with something blocking the path or one of the prongs which grab the paper is broken/faulty. If you are unable to to open the printer and get to the roller to change the feeder, then you will need to go to a local repair shop to fix the issue.

B: If you are able to get to the roller to change the feeder, then you can easily order the part from Dell.

Compatiblity

Not compatible or not working well with windows 7?
(making a program work with windows 7)

Maybe, It doesn't work because the driver/application you installed is for other versions of operating system. I am also using windows 7 like you so don't you worry, You can still use your old installer/driver from other versions of operating systems. Just remember that before installing any program in a windows 7 Operating System Computer, Use "troubleshoot compatibility". Right Click the Icon of your program installer/application first, then choose "troubleshoot compatibility". This will allow you to choose on what type operating system your program will run. 1 check if the driver is install
remove the connection usb and reinstall the driver from the cd came along it and then connect the usb cable when prompted and the it shoul be ok.

well my immediate solution would be firmware upgrade first. this will patch your printers firmware with latest firmware eliminating some of the known problems of which this could be one. please go to dell site here, download the patch/upgrade. follow instructions and flash it into your printer. test. otherwise if problem persists, post back.
