These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. You have a flew tab issue ( where the circuitry attaches to the screen) which is located under the screens top frame section. Or there could be a blown resistor or didode on the small board the flex tab attaches to also underneath the top frame section of the screen assembly

This problem very common in sharp tv.The POWER,OPC flashes.First turn on have power LED indicator light stable at all? Tries the power again couple times will have backlight come back on,than it will work.Not at all more than 5-6 times than ur main turner signal board is the problem,must replaced.

Unplug it for about an hour to let it reset itself and try again, otherwise you will have some troubleshooting to do,

Reset the Audio setting to Factory setting.Should stop this.Still same problem,than ur tuner signal board is the problem.

On some cable boxes they have their own volume control. Raise the volume on the box if you can. if the volume on the tv is up all the way it should be loud. It should not be the tv if you have volume already coming out. try hooking up a dvd player or some other device and see if you have the same result

The control board is defective. Is in warranty so call Sharp to have it fixed.

Menu on remote and make sure you have it on wide screen or 16 to 9
