Try removing everything from the motherboard and adding components to test each time. Remove optical drives and any other peripheral devices, remove and reinsert the RAM, video card and power supply connections. You should then try to get into the BIOS and check that everything is working at the hardware level. Then you can check the operating system level and then the software level after that.

Green and white is normally the power LED connection, as I recall. I may be wrong. Anyway, you need to trace the path of the wires back to the case and see what it's attached to. You normally will have a power switch connection, a hard drive LED connection, a power LED connection, a speaker connection, and possibly a reset switch.

Computer stop after 10 seconds, motherboard maybey

Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your MOTHERBOARD TO YOUR HARD DRIVE make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error even something as small as a faulty electrical extension or fan lead can cause you problems

computers need all of the data and electrical current to travel through every working device and to have an end to be able work properly

motherboard and a hard drive any leads between them will fail before your motherboard or your hard drive if its a flat ribbon 40 pin type IDE replace it this will be the first to fail

check all electrical power input and extensions make sure they are securely seated even the cd/dvd floppy drives need to have current go through make sure these drives are working

also check the Cmos battery and computer RAM modules make sure they are securely seated with no dust built up or in the sockets on some motherboards cmos batteries are soldered in

check you CPU make sure its securely seated and has thermal grease might be getting to hot

another possible reason could be a memory dump you might be running to many programs at the one time putting to much strain on the CPU central processing unit

hope this helps

Socket 939 Motherboards are pretty rare. Basically, if you find any socket 939 motherboard, the parts you have now should all fit precisely since there are only a few socket 939 motherboards right now on the market.

One long beep then two short beeps when i start my

This varies between manufacturers. There is no standard for counting the beeps or for what they mean. Double check your keyboard connector and video card connection. In fact, remove everything from the motherboard except the keyboard and Video card. If the board doesn't start then you know it is one of these two devices. If it does then shut it down and install the RAM and reboot. If the board doesn't boot double check that you have the correct RAM for your board and make sure you have it installed correctly. Your going to do this with every device 1 at a time until you find the device that is causing the problem. Unfortunately you can't tell what's wrong by counting the beeps or type of beeps you hear.

Having problem getting sound on recently installed

It still may be that Windows doesn't use the drivers from the updates.I have a similar setup for sound and had to go to Altec to get the drivers needed for my Vista Ultimate, which you would think could "find" the driver neccessary....BUT NO.Also,,this might be dumb, but are you plugged into the right "hole" on the sound card, presuming you have a new card.I made the same mistake when I put in a SoundBlaster system and plugged in the wrong one.D'ooooh
