Haier HWR06XC5 Wall/Window Air Conditioner Questions & Answers
Hello-
We bought the Haier window AC unit last
An a/c takes the moisture out of the inside air and it condenses or freezes on the evaporator coil when the air is blown across it. In some this water is evaporated by the outside fan but it there is too much water it will drip outside. This is normal and shouldn't drain inside as long as the unit is slightly tilted down to the outside. It sounds like yours is doing ok except it shouldn't freeze so much as to block the air flow. It's usually a sign of the unit being low on freon but in some situations it may freeze up.Cut it off and let it melt if it freezes.
Do I need to clean coils in haier hwro6xc7 air
You always need to keep both coils clean on your AC.
The evaporator coil (where room air is drawn in and through a filter) - is easy to keep clean - 'just keep the filter changed on a regular basis and you will probably never need to actually clean the evaporator coil. Occasionaly you might need to brush the coil with a brush or something - but this is not a big concern.
The condenser coil (where hot air blows from) is even 'easier,' for you don't have to mess with a filter, just keep the coil clean. You can occasionally pull the unit (when needed) and wash this coil with a water hose. In reality this coil will not get very dirty very fast - although it will (over time) acquire some dirt/dust, but as I say - it is pretty easy to keep clean. Note: Condensing units (split systems) that sit in a yard will get much dirtier much faster than window/thru the wall units such as yours, but you still have to keep a eye on the coil.
A good rule of thumb - is to change the filter (in front of the evaporator coil) - monthly.
As for the condenser coil (where hot air blows from) you can easy see it and just need to keep it clean, with no set (usually) time to do so.
good luck!
Fan speed setting of my Carrier furnace model 58wav091-14
most time, you don't have to do anything because the default setting for wiring with fan speed already. if not, trace the motor wires from motor with red , white and black from motor fan to PL2 and PL1. the best is look at a diagram from your actual furnace.
No longer cool
If the unit is operating normally but not cooling properly than you are low on refrigerant.
Turns on and off by itself
check that the condesor fan operates, seems that the unit is swithing off because it has a high head presure also check the hp and lp controlls.
Ac ices over
First you need to make sure the filter is clean to allow good air flow through the evaporator. If the filter is clean make sure the evaporator is not plugged up with dust and lint. If all that is ok your problem is the a/c BTU's is to big for the size room you have the a/c in and it is getting the room too cold. If that happens the evaporator will ice up and will not cool the room.
Haier mini split E7 and exterior fan not working
On a Haier Split system a E7 error is a failure of the outdoor inverter PCB and the outdoor power supply PCB. Both will need replacing. Looking around $600 for those parts. Plus fitting. The indoor PCB is very unlikely to be needed.
