Good day,
I am reading that this is a circuit failure. I would refer you to a technician to repair/replace the board.
Good luck...

Smps section is not working
Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and precious time.

Connecting Panasonic DVD to TV
What kind of cables are you using to hook up the DVD to the TV? Are they they composite, component, or S-Video? What are the connectors you're plugging both ends of the cables into labeled? Are you plugging the audio cables into the TV or directly into the sound system?

HDMI port is failing
DON'T wiggle it anymore because the connection solder points are loose and you will eventually crack the connector or the PCB it's soldered to. If it is not to much hassle you can remove the TV/Case cover and hit the points with a soldering iron.

No power but has red light flashing
Thank God for the internet. I had the same problem and I googled it and found this site with this solution. It worked fine. Thank you. Like you said, unplug, hold the power button for 60 seconds and replug and turn on. Worked like a charm. Thanks a bunch.
