Screen becomes small in breadth
I am assuming that "breadth" means the vertical height. It is a common problem, associated with 2 components. Either the Vertical Output IC and/or the vertical yoke coupling capacitor. Either of these can cause a similar problem. If you are handy and have the proper equipment, you can do it yourself. Locate a schematic, locate the Vertical output IC, order the replacement IC from a parts distributor like MCM Electronics or equivalent and replace it.
If you are not handy, this should be under $100.00 for a professional repair at any TV repair shop.

Hello
Your TVs infrared sensor is not taking the infrared pulse from your remote control. It may be faulty. It is fitted on the ciruitboard just behind the infrared sensor window. It is three pin component, and can be resoldered out from the circuit board. There are differnt numbers of infrared sensors, used in Sanyo televisons. You just open the tev, draw the circuit board out of it, and you can see black tree leged element soldered to the circuit board. Just resolder it out from the board, and go for a same type and number. Replacing it will solve your problem. Before desoldering it out, check its present soldering for any fault. Check the voltage at the pin number 1 of that sensor. It should be around 5VDC. If it is there not check for any resistance for break.
If all other functions are working with its front control panel, the 5vDC voltage mentioned above will be there, since system control IC needs this voltage, and from which the supply to the infrared sensor also is given. It is a most common fault in all TVs. OK.
