Himarieyvette2, my name is Mike Houston of DISH Network and I was going over yourpost and see where you're 4.4 IR/UHF Pro remote did not have a part. If youtake out the chip it is a two sided tab and will allow the remote to work forTV1 (Green side) and TV2 (Blue Side). Your question is not clear as to whether you want to program the remote to your TV or the DISH receiver. Here are steps for both if this has not been resolved already!


DISH RECEIVER::
1. Go to the room where the receiver is located. With the remote for THAT room press menu twice. (This will be the remote with the Green 1 on the bottom.)
2. Press and release the SAT button on the top left of the remote
3. Press and release the black and red record button 3 times
4. Look that the number next to remote address (secondary Remote address) has changed.
5. If not, start again.


TV::
1. Hold down the Clear TV button until all lights at the top of the remote light up
2. Press the red TV POWER button
3. Press and release the up arrow on the remote about once a second until the tv turns off.
4. When it turns off, press the # (Pound) button
5. Try powering the tv on/off, and try the volume. If one or more of these functions do not work, start over at step 1 again.

Have you tried doing a power scan. If the codes we have listed for a certain brand of TV does not work, we perform the power scan. If it was working before but not now, the tech probably did the power scan. I have provided a link with instructions on how to perform the power scan. Here is the link:

http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/remote-setup. Not all remotes are compatible with all receivers. Plus if the receiver controls 2 TVs, there is a colored tab on the bottom of the remote that controls the remote functions. I hope this helps.

It sounds like this is TV 1 that you are having this problem with the remote, is that correct? What has changed from when the remote was working till now? Was anything moved like the TV/receiver? You may have some type of interference with the UHF signal. Without getting more specific information, I'm generalizing the trouble shooting steps. Would you clarify if it's TV 1 or TV2. Please post to this site and I will respond back to you.

Hello! On the back of your receiver box you'll see a silver UHF antennae make sure its pointing straight up. If that fails try the steps in this link

There is a key in the bottom that has number 2 on it . Turn the key over to number1 and slide the button under the battery cover if needed from a to b or vise versa
