I have an eMachines computer and out of the blue today (no pun intended) the screen went to this bluish tint. The colors are all wacked out.
Any ideas as to what is causing this or how to fix it??

If you mean you can still see your screen and everything on it, but everything is very blue, then check your video cable from the PC to the monitor.
It will have a broken wire inside and is a common problem. Just wiggle it around in a circle and it should come good. Hold it in that position with something until you can replace the cable.

emachines monitor model le1987 screen goes blank after monitor is turned on
Need to verify whether its a monitor issue or a computer issue. Get a known working monitor and hook it up to the computer. If you get video then you know for sure the original monitor is bad.
If you still don't get video then you know its going to be either a problem with the video card or the computer.

My emachines e19t6w monitor keep shutting off and screen turns black. I have checked the poer settings and reset them back to the original and still does the same thing. I have to constantly kee turning the monitor back on..help
Click start and then control panel and then performance and then maintenance, and then power options. Move the bar to "NEVER" where is reads 'TURN OFF THE MONITOR" Also select a preinstalled Windows screen saver instead of a picture. Sometimes a downloaded picture can become a corrupt file and then it would show black after the time allowed for the screen saver to come on begains to show on the monitor screen. Next, download and run this free registry cleaner program:

screen has gone blank/black but computer is definitely on and working - is there something to check for or trouble shoot
Common problems for a black sceen of a LCD type monitor is failure of the inverter that drives the thin flourescent back lights.
Take a bright light and shine into the screen to see if you can see any image there, albeit faint. If you can, the inverter is probably bad. The Inverter is replaced as a unit and is usually right below the screen inside the monitor on a narrow circuit board with a small transformer and a few other components. It generates about 1200 volts to power the flourescent backlights which are tiny long glass tubes.
Other possibilities include failure of the video signals. Try another monitor to verify the signals are good.

My Emachine monitor had a gray box w/volume control that keeps popping up in the middle of my screen. I have tried numerous things to make it disapear and it seems when I think it's gone for good it pops up again. How can I get rid of it?
As a monitor tech, I have to say. You two dopes are completley useless. My son, LB who suffers from severe downsyndrome among other ailments. Quickly figured out that if he stuffed the eraser he was eating between the base and the menu button, the problem would go away.
Congrats on being outsmarted by my disabled son who eats pennies and erasers.
You should be proud. Next time, don't be so, You know....havanagilaish.

Press the "MENU" button on the monitor to turn it on or off. If that doesn;t work, press the AUTO button, let it reset and then press again to exit.

the monitor volume display is popping up and i can't get rid of it.
Check your display buttons along with the keyboard and mouse, to see if you have any key stuck down, or being pressed. Is there any other devices connected to the emachine that could be causing this behavior?

I need an Emachine monitor base piece. The piece that the monitor sits on got lost during our recent move.
I generally go to Ebay when I need to replace a part or find 'hard to find' items. You can find monitor stands on ebay for a reasonable price. You just have to make sure that the stand will work with your emachines monitor. All you have to do is look at the back to see how the stand attaches to the monitor and look for the same mount type. Below is a link to an ebay listing for 15 inch monitor stands.
http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=15+LCD+monitor+stands&_sacat=0&_odkw=emachines+E15+monitor&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313
You can also contact ebay by chat by following this link and ask if they have stands available for your monitor. There are none listed on the emachines site, but that does not mean that they are not available. The link to the Emachines contact page is:
http://www.emachines.com/corporate/contacts.html
These are two suggestions for finding a replacement monitor base or stand. I hope that you will be able to located the proper stand from these resources.
If I can be of further assistance to you, please let me know.
