if you see a yellow question or exclamation mark ? ! or a red X you will need to update the drivers for this device right click select update driver/reinstall driver

if you can see your usb device but its not working scroll to Ports(Com&Ltd) right click to update driver

The problem seems to be in your cds. In this case, especially if the product is still in warranty, you can ask from Sony website if they will send you a new set of cds.

If the computer is not booting to safe mode, please restart the computer and press and hold the F10 key. On that screen, you will see an option "System Restore". If computer is not booting to safe mode, you can try the above steps to perform a system restore.

If nothing works, perform a system recovery by pressing the F10 key and then selecting the option "Restore C Drive".

Start Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe). Start > Run and type: REGEDIT and press enter

We need to locate the upper filter and lower filter in the Registry. Open the folder and its sub route through the heives... as below

To Locate the Upper filter we need to travel through the below given Heives.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

Click on this Value and select Edit from menu and Press Delete to delete the values inside.
Delete also the Lower Filter in the same folder of the Registry... follow the steps to delete the value.

Quit Registry Editor.NOTE: After you remove the Upperfilters value and the Lowerfilters value,

If you find that your system is malfunctioning at any cost you may need to do a re-installation of the CD\Drive Drivers.

If the CD\DVD is missing from the Device Manager and if you are not able to see the Status of this device, you may restart the PnP (Plug and Play) Services and you will have the drive details in the Device Manager.

600mhz? its possible that the laptop has automatically put the cpu into power save state and lowerd the speed. it should return to 1.5 when connected to ac power and a demanding process is runing , games for a example.

if it doesnt change then your laptops powersaveing settings need to be changed, theres most likely a program on the laptop witch is made exactly for that.

in the bios when the laptop is starting up and performing self tests (before windows starts to load)
